This is the perfect tool to shape your tip. For the beginner or the pro it is simple and easy to use. This is my second one because I misplaced my last one. Buy it you will like it.

I thought this thing would cut through a square edged tip pretty easily but it was not happy about it when I tried. This thing is more of a touch up reshaper and not a cutter. MAYBE if you put the cue on a lathe or a drill gun you could make quicker work of it but it took me over an hour by hand to sand my tip down. It constantly clogged the grit inside the tool and just didn't feel like it was doing anything. I finally got it to do what I needed but I wasted so much time in the process and would never do it again.

I like it, I use it but I was more curious about getting this one because it was pricey compared to the other tools. I like it.

Love this product. Gave the shape I needed back to my cue. Helps accuracy when shooting pool, having a nicely shaped tip! Very easy to use. I will be buying these for my buddies on pool league!

I've tried four different styles of shaping tools for my cues and this one is the best by far. Figure out how to secure the tool to something and start spinning the cue by hand while trying to keep the cue fairly straight and check periodically. Gave me perfectly dime shaped tips. I clean the grit by pressing small pieces of duct tape into it after using it and its staying clean and sharp after installing four new tips so far
