Got this to try to make peppers stay intact when pickled, as well as to help cucumbers retain their crunch. Being new to pickling and canning, I didn't have the best of luck with it. It is a fine powder, like corn starch, and mixes into whatever pretty easily. Still, I can't ding good products for my lack of ability. It made a great addition to the pantry where it will sit for years to come, be that for a future pickling attempt or for eventual use as a soil supplement.

Love this stuff, it isnt my first purchase.

Because packages were so well sealed below the zippers, they had to be cut with scissors to open, which makes the zipper useless for storing the remaining product. Product worked to nixtamalize dried field corn for making masa, so I assume it is what the description says it is.

A little pricey but comparable to other places.

If you have laying hens, this stuff is the best for preserving your fresh eggs over the winter. Fresh tasting eggs all year!
