DO NOT BUY THESE SPEAKERS UNLESS YOU'RE COMPETENT IN ELECTRONICS REPAIR!!!
My family has long depended on Rosewill components for our computing needs. That's why we were SHOCKED at the poor manufacturing quality of these speakers. After returning 1 set after just a week's use, the SAME connector broke on the 2nd set. The white RCA plug leading from the speaker to the bass unit broke BOTH TIMES.Which is especially sad, since the sound quality on this speaker set is pretty good.Fortunately, my son has the technical acumen to splice in a new connector plug. Otherwise, I'd return the SECOND set, and ask for a full refund.

A Good Value -- but at Full Volume the Sub-Woofer has some distortion
The system sounds fine as long as you do not try to run it at full volume. The sub-woofer rattles and the bass sound becomes distorted at full volume. The two satellite speakers are made of very lightweight plastic. If they are mishandled -- it looks like the flimsy stands of the two satellite speakers could easily break off. Despite these things -- the system sounds fine as long as you do not turn it up more than 3/4 of the maximum volume. The system is a good value for its low cost.

Good stuff!
Very impressed! The sound output and quality are above average for a 2.1 in this price range. I was a bit nervous buying a brand I've never heard of, but I was blown away. My only gripe is that the speaker cables are not very long, so you have limited flexibility in placement. Regardless, I just ordered a second unit for my office. Good stuff!Update 11/1/15The sound quality of the speakers has greatly diminished. I use this setup in my office so it's never played loud at all. Pretty dissapointed because the initial sound quality was excellent. You get what you pay for I guess..

These speakers are excellent! Sound is very crisp and the adjustable bass means I can get audio levels to my liking easily! The subwoofer does not get extremely loud (it is a small driver aver all), but it is more than adequate for music or gaming. The only thing I do not like is the fact that the switch and controls are not closer to the front of the subwoofer, as it's a bit of a reach to get to them with my current setup. Previously I had a Logitech system with a control pod that helped, but it's not a deal breaker here. 5 stars.

Amazing for the price
Wonderful for a 2.1 system. A lot of audiophiles will tell you that if you really care about how it sounds, you'll buy a two channel speaker set that's good enough to cover the bass range. I disagree - for the price, this 2.1 system fills out the whole range of sound really well. Crisp treble and deep base. I'm very impressed with this set and if I need speakers in the future, I'll definitely be looking at Rosewill.

Good sound, good price, good quality
In use for about a week now. These speakers sound very good and were easy to set up. Build quality seems very good for the price, and the cables are actually long enough to work around a crowded desk. I like to get some separation of the right and left channels, and these cables will allow that - a rarity with these inexpensive speaker sets. I think this is a great value in a budget speaker set.

Great set of 2
Great set of 2.1 speakers. I see some discussion in reviews about independent sound volume control. Cables to the two small speakers are relatively short but ok for placing speakers on both sides of a desk (just like any other computer speakers). As you face the sub woofer, theconnectors and volume control are on the right side. So this may dictate how you set up/place your speakers. For the price, the sound quality is awesome!

bang for few bucks
updated 2: broke again, I give up!update: I joined others in having one channel (output not speaker) and sub cutting out, tried to clean up junk spanning traces on PCB, but found that I actually had continuity, and it still didn't work, but on a whim cycled the pots a few times and sound came back! However, with pathetic build quality, I don't expect to stave off corrosion or whatever for long...original: I am not going to pretend that these are "real speakers" for "critical listening", but that's not what they are for. Watching online lectures, youtube, sports clips, and listening to background music in a small office, they are perfectly intelligible and suit the need well.
