Cross Townsend Ballpoint Pen - Black Lacquer

Best pen that I've ever owned. Unfortunately, I lose them every couple of years, so have to keep on buying them. The lacquer finish shines with its beauty in a very elegant form. The barrel is just the right size for extended writing. Every aspect of the pen is well made. Can't recommend it strongly enough. Relatively expensive, but cheap compared to a Montblanc

It is a very nice pen that looks good, feels good, and writes very smmothly and well. My only complaint is that its twist action does not include a detent that snaps it into position the way that some other high priced European pens do.

The picture indicated the older version but when I got it was the newer version which is a bulky pen

i already had 3 of these in Chrome. As with any instrument used daily it will suffer from weat. Cross has a wonderful repair program. $10.00 and they send your pen back like new. Most of my problmes were with the cap and result from being dropped or wearing on shirts too thinck for the holder. I sent in my 3 Chrome all at the same time for repair and missed them so badly that I ordered the black to use in the interim. It will be nice to have the mix. I frequently get compliments on the pen when I allow people to use it to sign doucments with.

I have read plenty of reviews about name brand products being fake. So I was fidgeting with my pen today during a meeting. The ink refill inside reads cross and the cap is definitely lacquer, but the barrel is clearly and totally plastic. I just looked it up and the entire pen is supposed to be lacquer. Really disappointed because I spent a lot of money on a product with questionable authenticity.

Very nice pen, nice size, heavy and writes smoothly - Bought the three pen set several years ago when I was making money but the Ballpoint Pen was lost, this replacement was a perfect match and completed my set.

Great pen. Durable and mechanically sound. Attractive. Recommend cross "broad black" refills. I've owned this brand for years.

An elegant and efficient product that combine all that's required in a good quality writing instrument. The gold-plated appointments are a plus for a smart and modern look.

Fabulous pen

A well balanced, elegant pen, that writes smoothly. It has a nice weight, the black lacquer shows off the gold fittings in a striking way. This pen should be a good one if you are doing any essayist work. But, mine came without any form of guarantee, or paperwork of any kind.

The finish and quality of these pens are second to none. Buy it look after it and don't lend it.
