One of the arms was twisted so I had to twist it back into shape. That is when I noticed the rust on one of the arms. The thin steel pieces which connect the drop forged arms do not sit properly on the flanges coming out of the central hub. I had to file away the ends of them so they didn't interfere with the flanges. The flanges themselves are scalloped where they meet the main threaded part so again, even after filing the steel pieces they wouldn't sit properly so I had to file those as well. All of this probably accounts for why all of the steel pieces were bent because it is impossible to tighten up without bending them. I needed this there and then so I had to try and fix it myself. In the end though, it still wouldn't do the job and kept slipping off even though my pulley was under the 100mm max size specified. Also, I seem to remember reading somewhere that this was branded. I couldn't find any brand name on it.

Plenty of capacity, I used it to take off a large drive wheel To change the drive belt on my bandsaw, a piece of cake taking it off. Highly recommended

Very poor quality. One of the legs had a manufacturing defect that meant it had a very sharp piece of metal hiding on it that sliced my hand as I started to use it. Very poor

its ok but the tabs on the legs could do with being slightly longer to get a better grip, I found that they slipped off when tightening this up

Used it to pull a crank off a bicycle frame. Was a tiny bit fiddly due to the amount of adjustment it allows you to make, which can be a blessing or a curse. Once set up though, it does what it is meant to do - pulls things off of other things.
