The item fit in and functioned properly. It was converged with glue but hey, you don't see it.

Good Replacement Part
Was happy to find this replacement starter for my fire pit. The old one became corroded in the battery tube and stopped working. It fit like the original starter. I will remove the battery between use to keep the connections from corroding in the future.

Does what it supposed to if used properly.
Shockingly good. Had to enlarge the mounting hole on the grill with 7/8” bi metal hole saw (old element was using AAA battery so had smaller diameter mount) other than that worked with existing needle and produced plenty of spark to start up the igniter burner. From personal experience I would advice AGAINST trying it beforehand while holding it in your hands since your body will be the ground and you’ll get very nice jolt through your hand and muscles.

Last year I replaced the burner tubes on a Canadian Tire master chef bbq The replacement tubes came with four new spark electrodes and a set of flame carryovers which I opted to use due to the bbq only having a two wire ignition The flame carryover never worked properly always forseing me to manually light the last tube I replaced the two wire igniter with a four removed the flame carryover system and I now have a safer and faster igniter

Replaced old school push to ignite/single click ignitor on my gas fireplace. Instead of pushing really hard in an awkward location approximately 10 times, simply push ONCE, LIGHTLY, and the auto repeat does the work for you. It sparks about 3-4 times per second. Very good ingnitor.
