I struggled with configuration, perhaps self-evident to the rest but note that the administrator code does not open the door once you configure it, you need to configure user codes with the newly set administrator door to unlock the door.

I have purchased two of these Code Handles. The first lasted nearly ten years and worked well - until it developed a fault and wouldn't unlock (despite entering the correct code). Repeatedly entering the code and hitting the handle a few times eventually forced it to unlock. The fault was intermittent and the internal assembly is inaccessible so you can't diagnose or repair it. Not wishing to be locked out of the room I purchased another (on the advice of the support team). That lasted less than a year and then refused to lock. My conclusion is there's a design fault with these handles and you'll either find yourself locked out of the room or using it as a dumb door handle. My advice would be not to purchase this product - there are other smart door handles on the market.

Costly for a door handle, easy set up and works as expected, had to buy this as a direct replacement for one that failed after a couple of years

I first saw this product inside a premium electronics store used to prevent customers entering restricted staff area. At the time I was using a 5 lever mortise lock to keep my office secure but was thinking about a cheapo keypad door lock for convenience. The downside of the standard keypad lock is the size and how unappealing they are bolted onto the door. And the fact I would have to drill holes Into my hardwood door meaning no removing at a later date. This key lock lever is not burdened with such. It is a direct replacement for my existing handle and conveniently similar in design. Fitting was very straightforward. It took 10 minutes. Setting up the code was simple enough although I got myself a bit confused with it at 1 point. The handle allows multiple codes to be set up with a master code used only for altering the settings. The handle can be altered in the settings to allow things like auto lock or delayed auto lock or manual locking only. This is in my mind a total breakthrough in such ironmongery and I am so very pleased with it. The door locks every time I leave my office and to get back in it’s such a simple code entry. I am very happy with this and despite it being considerably more expensive than standard keypads, it’s worth every penny.

Easy to fit, the programming instructions are a bit small, but the unit seems very good quality and works very well

The description does not state what type of door handle it can replace. It couid not replace my standard uk style.
