Re. Paulmann 941.53 Cardan The product arrived and it was obvious that this is a high quality and well engineered product. The transformer is weighty and superbly built, and all the components equally so (all chromed metal) Easy to install and tension up the wires, but it does take some time. The fiddliest part was connecting the tails to the wires as the wire section is a little too thin for the connecting holder/screws and the connecting screws want to go down the side of the wire. The lights will swivel on both axis so you can point them anywhere you like. However, please note that you will need to undo the 2 locking nuts (allen key provided) and the 2 phillips screws on the inside face of the fitting to adjust the wire connecting axis (as photo 2) I paired up with Boaming LED spots which are aluminium cased and perfect match for the bulb holder, The whole effect is stunning. A real 5 star product for me.

I'm really pleased with this product. I'd been putting off buying a light for my home cinema room as I couldn't see anything that I liked. These are perfect. They seem to have a high very build quality and weren't too difficult to install. My only advice would be to make up a jig to make sure that the cable's are aligned correctly. To cap it off they look great. They're pretty bright, but I have more subdued concealed lighting to complement them when required I'd do my entire house with these given half a chance.

2 x Lighting system fitted in our cottage, between the beams - perfect as we have low ceilings and can't have pendant lamps. We also cannot fit recessed spot lamps due to lack of space between the plasterboard ceiling and the underside of the floorboards of the room above. The kit is relatively easy to install, however the one issue I encountered was due to the way in which the lamp connects - there is a small pin in the lamp fitting and this has to pierce the clear plastic sleeve on the suspension wire. After fitting two sets I found that if you rotate the connector body whilst screwing the pin in, it holds the wire in place and the pin pierces the cable easily(ish!). This issue might be solved if Paulmann sold the set with larger gauge cable. All told I am very pleased with the lighting and will be ordering another 3 sets when we refurb the kitchen.

Fantastic lighting system. Fairly easy to install for any budding diy'er. I've used 6 of light fixtures with 5watt led 6k bulbs. Bulbs don't come included so you have the choice what to go for. Some reviews complain about the transformer being noisy, mine don't make a sound. This is probably due to the low voltage led bulb. Who uses expensive halogen!!! All in all, a fantastic piece of kit and a great addition to my renovated conservatory

Looks good, however the cable only spans 5meters not 10 as stated. I purchased two sets one had a faulty transformer which I returned and a month later I am still waiting for a refund. I contacted the company directly through emails and phone calls, but no response very, very poor after sales service. Amazon have also been rubbish, very disappointed.

I have this type of lighting system over my kitchen bar. It was apparently fairly popular back in about 2007 when my kitchen was remodeled but has fallen out of style. It still suits my kitchen (which is in such a funky style that it resists looking dated and I still love it) so I didn't want to change to a whole different system when the original lamps started to fail. But, they're hard to find in the US and tend to be VERY expensive. I am talking about costing $70USD PER LAMP! So, I was pleased to find them at such an affordable price on the UK site. And prompt shipping and arrived in great condition despite the transoceanic trip. Thanks! Oh, they look and function great! I just connected to the low voltage wires and LET THERE BE LIGHT!

Product is superficially good quality and looks stylish. However major issue with In-rush current as the transformer energise cause the MCBs to trip regularly. Making enquiries with Paulmann's technical desk revealed that they have no technical information on the in rush estimates and there is no electrical technical information included with the units. I was advised that there was a thermal fuse installed with the transformers but am advised that this will not prevent in rush from travelling back up stream as it happens over milliseconds and fuses offer no protection. Only solution appears to be to upgrade the MCB to accommodate the units but Paulmann are unable to advise requirements. Poor technical support. Avoid

Bonjour, le luminaire est assez qualitatif pour le prix. Chez un électricien ordinaire, vous n'aurez qu'un transformateur à ce tarif. La mise en œuvre est assez simple si vous êtes un peu bricoleur, mais il faut admettre que la notice n'est vraiment pas un exemple en termes d'explication : vous n'avez que des petits schémas très simplifiés et c'est tout. L'écartement à donner entre les deux câbles est de 14,5 cm. Une fois celui-ci tendu, l'alimentation via le transformateur se fait par perforation d'isolant : une pointe traverse la gaine pour faire contact avec l'âme du câble. Il est important de faire attention au positionnement de la gorge des connecteurs car il faudra centrer la pointe sur le fil conducteur. En revanche, il en va différemment pour les spots, qui sont munis d'une gorge et où c'est cette fois une vis qui vient pousser le câble sur le système de perforation d'isolant. Les supports sont orientables presque à volonté et permettent un éclairage optimal de votre pièce, pour ma part la cuisine. Le transformateur chauffe normalement et permet de bien cacher les fils derrière. Il faut compter environ 1H30 pour mettre en place le luminaire si vous êtes seul. Petite parenthèse, lors de la première livraison, les cinq supports d'ampoules étaient manquants et un carton était déjà ouvert. J'ai donc fait une réclamation auprès d'Amazon qui a repris le colis tel quel et m'a renvoyé cette fois-ci un colis complet. Je félicite encore leur réactivité. Bref, si vous souhaitez donner un petit coup de modernité à une pièce de votre maison avec un budget plus que correct et bénéficier en plus d'un bon éclairage, n'hésitez pas et foncez pour cet article qui présente un excellent rapport qualité-prix.

Das Set wirkt an der Decke hochwertiger als erwartet und spendet zusammen mit den richtigen Leuchtmitteln ein hervorragendes Licht, dass auch noch (mit Einschränkungen) gerichtet werden kann. Klare Kaufempfehlung. Allerdings ist der Trafo recht groß geraten, was beim Kauf berücksichtigt werden sollte.
