Extremely affordable pump for my 99 Trans Am. Works great so far!
I've been questioning my fuel pump for a while now, so I was on the lookout for a replacement before mine went out. I got lucky and saw this one in the warehouse deals section for a song. I only had it sitting around less than a month before mine started acting up and howling after a long hot day. 20 years is pretty good for a factory pump. This unit wasn't missing anything. It came with a new adapter plug, new rubber seal, butt connectors and of course the pump itself. When replacing my old pump, I found some really bad frayed wiring on both fuel level sender wires and was able to trim down the very long new adapter plug and use that wiring, which amazingly, were the exact same colors as my factory wiring (purple wire and black with white strip wire) and use those with new metri pack connectors to replace the bad pieces with no change in wire color. Installed the pump, turned the key and the car started immediately. Sounds and runs a million and a half times better and the pump seems dead silent to me.

Worked for about 2.5 years.
The car this went into has been out of commission for a while. 2000 Firebird TransAm WS/6 w/ 5.7L LS1. It needed other parts fixed, but I need to be able to move it occasionally. After installing this pump, it worked fine, so I parked it. About a 2.5 years later, driving less than 1 mile, I'm putting this car back into service. After repairing all the other problems, I tried to start it. The pump isn't running. No noise. No pressure. But there is voltage at the pump. I guess if you're just trying to resell a car, and don't care about complaints, it's good enough. If you don't want to replace it frequently, get another one. I'm just really glad that I cut an access panel in the hatch, so this doesn't require me to drop the tank again.

It fit and works on my Trans Am WS6
I installed this in my '99 Pontiac Trans AM WS6 5.7L LS1 as a temporary fix and it was an immediate improvement over my burning out stock fuel pump that was 24 years old. This new pump measured 60psi at the fuel rail. Not bad. My old pump was only pushing around 30psi in its final moments. OEM for this car should be 58psi. It's a reasonably easy installation if you have a fuel pump access panel to work through and have a fuel ring removal tool and know how to splice wires. If you don't have an access panel, replacing this pump requires you to remove the fuel tank which is a labor intensive and complex job on this car. The pump doesn't come with fuel line retaining clips so you'll have to reuse the old ones or buy new ones. The new fuel gauge sensor is a bit optimistic and will show a fuel level that is about 20% higher than reality. When I had a half tank of fuel, it shows I'm at like 70% full. The electric motor in this new pump is much smaller and lighter than the OEM pump motor which makes me believe that I'm probably not getting the full range of pressure and flow throughout the engine's rpm and throttle range. However, the pump works and it was a fraction of the cost of an OEM replacement. To be frank, I am planning on upgrading to a high performance pump in the near future that I can trust will last 100k+ miles and provide much higher flow rates and an accurate fuel tank level. I just needed a short term fix while I sorted out my options but this pump is literally cheaper than a tank of gas so I can't complain and I kept my expectations low.
