HERO10 Black- E-Commerce Packaging - Waterproof Action Camera with Front LCD & Touch Rear Screens, 5.3K60 Ultra HD Video

I purchased the GoPro HERO 10 Black for my 21-year-old son for Christmas (2024). He took the camera with us to Celebrate New Years 2025 in Hawaii. You have to purchase a memory card - this package does not come with one. You have to perform the original camera battery charge without the memory card installed. Once the memory card had video / picture data saved, the camera could be charged with the memory card still installed but would not charge with a blank formatted memory card. The camera functioned beyond expectations on our boy's trip to Hawaii and my son captured some AMAZING underwater video / pictures of: 1. Green Sea Turtles while snorkeling down to about 30-feet (while maintaining required distance from the Turtles) in the Ocean off Oahu 2. Volcano activities in Volcano National Park - Hawaii (Big Island) 3. Humpback Whales surfacing and breaching off Maui 4. Multiple Waterfalls (swam out to and in those that were allowed), "Jungle" hikes, and underwater fish at several beaches along the Road to Hana - Maui Along with numerous days of typical camera action (Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head, Black Sand Beach, New Years Celebration (Honolulu), etc.) The battery lasted a considerable time - easily handling 8-10 hours of on/off use on a single charge. Our iPhones needed more charging than the GoPro HERO 10 Black. The integrated LCD was nice to ensure images and framing was accurate and the ability to link to an iPhone was useful for multiple selfies and remote camera operations (being able to set the camera outside all the tourist arms and heads and activate / control filming was beneficial). My son tested (on purpose) the floating adventure stick / handle and found it functioned well with the camera (and underwater enclosure) attached -- never needed it, but was good to know it did float with the camera attached. My son also enjoyed that the GoPro auto produced summary videos of each day of our trip from the pictures and videos he took on each day. He even more enjoyed that GoPro allowed him to create and edit video on-the-fly. He is considering purchasing the upgrade subscription to allow for more detailed / technical editing.

I used this GoPro on my trip to Hawaii. This is my second GoPro 10. It's simple to use, has 4K quality, and great for underwater footage.

Have taken so many videos already of kayak trips, camping trips, etc. if you have the correct settings turned on (you don’t need 4k to film uncle bobs birthday candle blowout) the battery lasts a pretty decent amount of time. Enjoying it so far and has held up underwater amazing. Clarity is crisp and clear, audio is clear with the 3 mics this camera utilizes. App works great for me. Unsure of others experiences so far but very easy to use and a great price! Well done amazon!

We use this camera to stream baseball games through GameChanger. The battery will last about an hour and a half. It can get overheated (we are in AZ) if it is in direct sunlight with no airflow. Be advised that third party batteries don't seem to work well.

I’ve spent hours researching this very know issue, tried every different setting, even bought a mobile charger, nothing works. When filming at 70%, 80%, even 90%+ charge, the camera automatically shuts down after a few seconds and says it’s because of “low battery”. There are no solutions. No firmware update, setting combo, temp control, etc. that fixes this. And reading online this is clearly an overwhelmingly common issue. The only explanation is that gopro (and this Amazon vendor) sell faulty devices, whether it be old batteries that don’t work, or camera products that don’t work. Here’s just one gopro thread of this from 2 years ago still with no solution and ppl still at their wits end as recently as weeks ago. Based on the countless people reporting that they are experiencing this issue for years, and no solution, I can only assume that gopro & this vendor know of the issue and just continue to sell these products that flat out do not work. What’s so frustrating is that I bought this for the sole purpose of filming a once-in-a-lifetime bucket list vacation with my family. Every time there was an amazing filming opportunity the product failed. While we were able to capture some of the moments with run of the mill smartphones, we lost out on so much because of this product. That pales in comparison to the $500+ spent and wasted. GoPro is living off legacy brand recognition and marketing budget that will likely bury this review, like so many others. But if you do happen to read this, buyer beware!! Definitely look elsewhere unless you also want a very expensive useless brick.

I'm sorry - I took one look at all the parts in the bags that come with the Go Pro and just thought 'I'm not up for this' Sent it back for a refund. I'm sure it's a very good product - I know lots of people who have one and the results are very impressive.

I love mine. It has been super user friendly, reliable and a lot of fun. I got the additional battery pack and charger. The batteries last about 1.5 hours give or take depending on video quality so being able to stop to hot swap a battery has been great. When I stop the video, I can just splice the next video to make a seamless transition on a video editor app after. Defiantly recommend. Especially for the price.

Bought this for a family member to use while they were out mountain biking. The video quality is really impressive.

There's a lot bad things beeing said about gopro for heating and short battery life, but I like mine. It does the job. Just buy more batteries.

Works great under water up to 100 feet. I used OEM GoPro case with it and red filter. Stabilization is very good

My son is a graphic designer so I got this for him so he could expand his level of creativity. He is thrilled with this camera and is develooping new content to share. This is a wonderful product for everyone who is active in sports!

The batteries do not last, not even 15 minutes And are the manufactured ones that come from GoPro, you cannot have the camera connected to a charger and operate it. It won't keep the battery charged when it used to. Way overpriced, you can get just as good as sport cams. $70-$50. Never buy a gopro.
