DAP 00107 107 Contact Cement

I've always bought this Weldwood contact cement in a glass jar and the lid was plastic and easy to open, even if some glue got into the threads I've always been able to open the plastic lid. I haven't been able to find the glass jar (see photo) for sale anywhere and the only ones available now are a metal can with a metal screw on lid (see photo). The metal lid seems very hard to get off. I had to resort to pliers. I've now added a little white lithium grease to the threads to see if that will keep it easier to get off and on. Over a year ago I bought a metal can of the Weldwood just like the one in the picture. When I recently needed to use it I could not get the lid off at all! It wouldn't come off with pliers nor even my big set of pliers. I ended up tossing it in the trash and had to buy the new one pictured here.

I used this to glue foam pipe insulation it worked great had a good bonding time. I have been using this brand for years om many projects leather crafts, balsa wood model air planes etc.

This is my standard "go to" contact cement. It only takes a little for most jobs so be sure to tighten the lid or else it will harden up in the bottle. I used it to reattach some rubber trim in my car. Easy to use and clean up is a breeze! Highly recommend.

If your not using allot when if get like a rock and hard to use. Good for use and after that use you'll most like now how long it is available. All three stars to rate for added on is hard because each one changes by time. Thinking about this is in my tweens I believed was when I started to use this but being over 50 Years I'm not Shure and its better than at first using time.

I've been using this since I was a kid. It holds pretty strong dries quick and comes in the variety of sizes it's worth the money because it does the job

This is a good contact cement. It holds pretty well. It does have a very strong scent, use it with ventilation. It is fairly easy to use as well.

I have no problem whatsoever with the product. I've used it for years and continue to do so. Unfortunately, the maker no longer offers the product in small glass bottles, having switched over to a canned version within the last year. The cement is identical regardless of packaging, but the brushes included with the two versions are not. The bottle brush is MUCH more precise than the brush in the can, which looks like Boris Johnson's hair. I specifically ordered from this vendor because they were advertising the bottled product. All pictures showed the product in a bottle. I ordered enough bottles to last me for a few years, figuring I'd use it only when precision gluing was a priority. What I received was canned product that I could not return due to hazardous shipping regulations. Like I said: great product, lousy transaction.

I was very disappointed when I received the item. Yes, it is the same cement and the same amount of it, but the container did not match the picture advertised. I have attached a picture of the actual item.

this is amazing quality glue. I found that I had to leave it 40 minutes in Calgary Alberta in the winter time in a warm garage the humidity is very low. I tried pressing it together after 15 minutes and it did not stick when I left 40 minutes it's stuck instantly. Highly highly highly recommend
