Initially hesitant but pleased in the end.
I purposely waited to try the grip at the range before I made my final judgement. When the package arrived, I inspected the grip and immediately installed it. Initial impression - not good. The grip itself is well made and quite tacky in feel. What the description does not tell you that it is quite thick (approximately 3 to 4 mm thick). So when I installed the grip, it felt like the handgun itself was far too big to hold. Think about it - the grip aided an extra 4 mm all around. Fast forward a week and to my range trip. Grip was still installed and did not move from all my grabbing and gripping at the handgun (G27). As far as feel, comfortable, as it takes away the rough feeling from the stippling on the finger and palm area. I fired 5 rounds and I was pleasantly surprised. Not bad at all. I could grip the handgun well and had no issues with manageability. 100 rounds later, I am very happy. I am still able to grip the gun and is very comfortable. Helps deaden recoil on a subcompact frame (a little). Would I recommend - YES. Just keep in mind that it will make the grip larger and fatter. As long as you can still keep a firm grip on the handgun, you are good to go. The grip is comfortable, easy to install, and stays in place. It also helps lessen the finger bump on the front of the grip due to the cutout from the sleeve. To me, this is a huge plus and is why I chose this over the Hogue grip that increases/highlights the finger "bump" due to the hollow finger notch design on their sleeve. In the end, a nice surprise and glad I bought it.

Perfect Companion for the Perfect Handgun
I carry the Springfield XDs .45 ACP every day. It is very concealable, relatively lightweight, and does not print in the least. I hate shooting it, however, which is not a good thing for a carry weapon. Last time I was at the range, I ran about 30 round through it before I gave up. It tears my hand to pieces. Shooting .45 rounds through a 3.3" barrel has its tradeoffs, and one is absorbing a great deal of recoil with my shooting hand. As a result, I was desperate to find something that would absorb some of the recoil. I've looked and looked, but other than the Talon grips (which don't absorb much of anything), I have until recently found nothing that was made for this gun. Thankfully, searching various forums last Friday, I found one that suggested the Pachmayr 05178 Tactical Grip Glove for my gun. I received it in the mail yesterday and put it on immediately! It feels 100% better already. I have not been to the range yet this week, but am willing to believe that this is going to greatly reduce the wear and tear on my hand. Besides absorbing some of the recoil, it also gives me a bit more to hold onto, and it smooths the very rough texture of this gun's grip. I bought this gun to carry for a number of reasons, knowing that recoil was going to be an issue, but with the Pachmayr glove, I will be able to actually enjoy shooting it now. Thanks, Pachmayr!!

Tames the felt recoil of my G36 some.
This grip sleeve installed easily and made my G36 a little less punishing to my old hands and enabled me to more firmly grip the pistol. After firing about 30 rounds I did notice the sleeve had rotated a barely noticeable tiny bit, but for a civilian carry weapon this is not a problem. Given the cost and benefits, this was a worthwhile purchase.

Exactly as advertised
Fits like a glove on my mod 1 XDS. Went on with some difficulty, but it wasn't impossible. Feels great, can't wait to try it at the range. Exactly as advertised.

great feel
This is my second purchase... the one I have on my .45 XDS currently is fine, just thought I'd buy an extra. The one I have installed has been on about six months, is carried IWB and shows no signs of wear. This grip is just outstanding, makes a huge difference on follow through shots because the pistol stays put with a firm grip... Unlike having the XDS without this grip, which would require me to readjust my grip after a few shots. Installation wasn't difficult, i just took my time and everything fit perfectly with no interruption of the grip safety. I am a certified firearms instructor and don't normally modify my pistols other than sights but this modification is recommended if you're having issues with your grip and follow through shots.

Better feel than stock grip
Great fit, but follow instructions. Gives a better feel to your grip. Now I'm more accurate.

Nice
Gives that single stack grip a little more meat Made of comfortable rubber and not really any more weight Takes a few minutes to get on cause you have to stretch from one side to the other until you get into the right position Once it’s in place, it’s not coming off unless you decide to take it off It definitely helps me handle the kick of my subcompact
