Great set of files
I used to have a nice needle file set, and needed to replace it. Over the course of time, I have ordered some cheaper sets of files. The cheaper files were crudely made with an inconsistent file surface. Decided to take a risk to spend money on another set since those cheap sets didn’t work out. This General set of files is beyond my expectations. The file teeth are perfect and consistent, and are very well made across the shape profiles: square, round, triangular, etc. Comes in a great case for keeping the set together.

Ok for the price
Files have worked well and have stayed sharp this far. Dropped a star for 2 files being bowed and 2 others not being ground completely. Still a nice set for the price point.

Did the trick
I needed a small and strong set of files for a key with an unusual design that I wanted to carry in a key carrying device someone got me. This did the trick of creating a large enough hole to slide the key into the device. I cannot speak to sturdiness or durability, but the price was right for what I needed.

Handle doesn't tighten down enough
The handle doesn't tighten down on the files enough. Other than that its a nice kit

Good files
A little coarser than I expected but im also comparing to a Grobet set which isn’t fair. All and all I’m happy, they’ve held up well. For the price I cannot find any reason not to purchase again

Good for fitting the metal furniture on Japanese swords - habaki, seppa, tsuba.
They were good prices, I really like the larger handle your can attach. I did break one of them, but files are brittle, I've subtracted one star from thickness for that breakage, they're quite good for delicate work - fitting habaki, seppa, and tsuba to a Japanese sword blade is almost the only thing I use them for.
