Auto Framing USB Conference Camera for Interactive Whiteboard, TV and Computer Laptop, 4K Webcam with Microphone for Conferencing and Video Calling

Overall, the image quality is really impressive. The microphone works very well as well; I'm capable of walking around the entire room, looking away from the camera, and still have it pick up my voice quite clearly. For such a wide angle view, I'm surprised at the lack of distortion (the fisheye effect) on center; you have to nearly walk out of the frame in order for it to really start distorting your image. The autoframing also works smoothly and surprisingly reliably, and a 4k image allows it to crop quite a lot without compromising image quality a ton. Now, onto the complaints... First complaint: The webcam was plug and play for my Intel integrated graphics laptop, but plugging it into my AMD 5700xt powered desktop caused my graphics drivers to crash repeatedly until I ALT+F4'd the application using the camera. I updated graphics drivers (something I don't like to do often unless absolutely necessary), power cycled the computer and camera, but it still was causing driver crashes...until it just started working? I don't know why all that happened; my desktop has a lot going on in it, but it's ALWAYS been stable, even back in 2020 when people were complaining about RDNA graphics drivers being unusable. Second Complaint: For the sake of safety and privacy, EVERY webcam should have an activity indicator light to show when it's in use, but this doesn't. Third Complaint: I don't see a good way to turn off the built in autoframing, but I would be open to correcting this complaint if the manufacture actually has a way to do it. If it believes its recording video and the resolution its being asked is less than 4k, it will internally auto frame and crop its video output. Fourth Complaint: Do webcams really need to cost $79.99 anymore? I understand COVID really messed up webcam pricing, but we still haven't seen a return to what I would consider 'sane' pricing. Burner smart phones with multiple cameras and microphones are easily found, new and here on amazon, for less. Another example: you can buy action cams that perform well at 4k30fps (also here on amazon), and those include touchscreens, sd card storage, a durable housing, etc. etc. It just doesn't make a ton of sense to me...

Plugged right into my HP Windows 11 laptop, and immediately was able to use for high quality video and audio with MS Teams. Great little camera that is SUPER sharp. Love it!
