Solid Performer for the Price
I've been putting this 16kg Amazon Basics kettlebell through its paces for just under a year now, mainly for various exercises around the house. It's a solid bit of kit, especially considering the price point – I was honestly expecting something a bit less substantial. The finish has held up well, though I reckon it would chip pretty easily if it were regularly dropped on concrete. The grip is comfortable and well-sized, allowing for both single and double-handed use, which is a real plus for different movements. The base is properly flat, so it stands perfectly upright without any wobbling, making it stable for exercises like renegade rows. It feels well-balanced and the quality is surprisingly good; it certainly punches above its weight class. My main niggle, and it’s a minor one, is that I’d love to see Amazon expand the weight range beyond 20kg. If they did, I'd definitely be adding more to my collection. This is a genuinely good option for anyone looking for a dependable kettlebell for home use.

Very pleased with my 6kg Amazon Basics cast-iron kettlebell. The finish is good and the grip is comfortable. A great addition to my home gym.

Decent VFM item that could have been better finished
Review of Amazon Basics kettlebell [ABKB] 20kg. I already had Basics KBs in 8, 12 & 16 Kg and wanted the 20. I pounced when the price dropped to just £35.67 - which as other reviewers have suggested, is amazing VFM for a big KB. The 20 arrived promptly in a well-sealed box, which was battered from its journey (the delivery guy struggled with the compact but very heavy package). An inner box contained the KB, which was pristine with no seams on the handle (a seam can damage your hands, especially when it's on the top or bottom of the handle). The 20's handle was 12.5cm in circumference at centre (the 16kg is 11cm and the 12 is 10.5cm). The 20kg's inner handle width was 14.5cm against the 16's 13cm and the 12's, er 12cm. So plenty big enough for 2-handed swings with my very large hands. I checked the actual weight of the 20 on reliable scales and it was 20.2kg, so no complaint there. I reckon the 0.2 excess was accounted for by the paint, which is the same thick and very dimpled Hammerite-type black that adorns my other KBs. When the KB handle rotates in your grip that paint finish can hold on to the skin of your palms and fingers - the resulting pulling under load is uncomfortable to say the least. To reduce this, you can put (messy) chalk powder on your hands before you ["ahem"] go swinging. Or a wet lubricant, although you may find the KB then escapes your grasp altogether (unpopular with the wife) as well as lube being even more messy (end suspect!). But my preferred option is to rub the KB handles down with abrasive, for which you really need a power tool because doing this by hand is hard work. I used a multi tool with sandpaper attachment (60 grade working down to 180). A belt-sander might be better and a file might help as well. See before and after photos. Once the glaze is off and the dimples are gone the KB handle rolls nicely in your grip (any seam that may have been on the handle will be taken care of as well). You'll still get calluses, but you won't tear your hand open. But best way to reduce those calluses is to change your grip for swings.... Hold your kettlebell where fingers meet palm, instead of lower down your palm. Simps. NB. If you keep the sanded KB outside it will go rusty, but you can get away with that because light rust helps the handle rotate in your grip better. If you like this review please vote it helpful!

It’s a great kettlebell and quite competitively priced for it’s compactness!
I just got my order now and to say that I am really impressed is an understatement I got the 12kg one and let me tell you it is quite heavy but it is small in size which I love as I believe it’ll be an advantage when working with it and it’s grip is sturdy and strong absolutely great for the price too! I highly highly recommend! Ps I can’t comment too much on comfort as I haven’t used it yet but I can tell it will be quite comfortable to use!

Good Product.
It's exactly like the description, no secrets. Good to for my "at home" workouts. It arrived on time very well wraped.

Does its job, great price.
As a seasoned lifter, I wasn’t expecting to be wowed.......it’s a weight, not a life upgrade. That said, the handle has plenty of room, feels good in the hand, and stays comfortable for swings, squats, and core work. No sharp edges, no awkward balance, and nothing that gets in the way of using it properly. I'm using it for physio work, it's a perfect addition to my collection. Best part is the great price (10kg). It does exactly what it should and costs less than a lot of more “premium” branded options — and it hasn’t tried to kill my toes yet, which is always a bonus.

Compact and effective
I am rebuilding fitness after almost two years when I was unable to exercise. I did not think I needed a kettlebell because I had dumbells. However, so many people recommended a kettlebell that I thought I should try one at the reasonable price. I am very pleased. My 10kg kettlebell is very compact whereas the dumbells can get in the way. That makes it easy to store with easy access whenever I want to exercise. I like the range of exercises that are possible. I chose the Amazon Basics model because it is cast iron, and hence smaller than less dense materials encased in plastic. I am making good progress and will be buying a heavier one sooner than expected.

I've been using this kettlebell a few times a week since purchasing and have had no issues with unfinished areas rubbing against my hands during use, (which I've experienced with other cheap products) but I can't fault these. Great price point and quality product.

Well finished though not that textured, it's quite smooth. It will last a lifetime though. It's a a 20kg kettlebell that according to the scales is 21kg but that is no issue.
