Pros: As an avid gamer I’d have to say that this headset and amp are a must have. For the price, it’s very hard to beat the combo. The headset is very comfy and can be worn for 10+ hours without any pain or discomfort. The speakers are top noch in terms of quality and noise canceling ability. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to step up their game and invest in a good product. Cons: on PS4, it doesn’t get very loud. Because there’s no way to adjust party chat volume or individual player volumes (like you can in discord) it makes it very difficult to fine tune the sound. The amp and app make it a bit easier but not as easy as I’d like. Also the mute/unmute switch broke on mine within 3 months to where I was always muted unless I pushed really hard on the slider in the unmute direction (contacted turtle beach and they sent me a new one for free) so not a huge deal, more of an inconvenience. Best of all: Because you use Bluetooth and an app to control the amp, it means you can listen to things on your phone and it comes through your headset (twitch streams, or YT videos) and it can use the mic in the headset for phone calls etc. You can even join a discord call on your phone, and still hear everything on your PS4 at the same time and the discord comes through your headset and uses your mic. It’s actually incredible. Final thoughts: 10/10 should buy. I think a good headset is 1 of the 3 things you need to have to remove the ceiling of potential to become a great gamer (good monitor and good internet are 2 and 3) but definitely should buy

Comfort 5/5 Noise cancellation 5/5 Sound quality 5/5 Appearance 5/5 Packaging 5/5 Mic 4/5 Extremely comfortable like the most comfortable headphones I’ve ever owned gaming or not. Doesn’t matter how I sit they conform great and don’t leave position. Noise cancellation is top tier I can’t hear anything when I have them on, lol. Sound quality has greatly improved my sense of direction and just general awareness while playing and has also picked up some things in-game my other headphones didn’t. Has these things on the sides I guess for protection that connect by magnets and add to the design. Box comes with extra accessories and is nicely put together, you can easily use it for safe storage for after un boxing. Confused about the detachable mic, I can’t seem to figure out how to get it working but it comes with another chord that has a mic built into it that works great. 100% satisfied and recommend. Price is alittle stiff but in this day and age you usually get what you pay for so I don’t regret spending the extra to know I’m getting great performance I’d definitely buy again if I had to. Edit: Got the mic working just took a little figuring out. After purchase you’ll find that there will be some configuring to be done about possible echoes/background noise and what not just play with your settings on your console/device with someone in a party with you until you get it right. There’s a ton of negative reviews and feedback on google about people sending them back or being unhappy because of it and a lot of claims that there was no solution but I’m able to play with full volume without my team mates hearing my gameplay or having vocal echoes it just takes a bit of configuration.

I really like this headset. This is a good headset for the casual gamer. It is really comfortable, and it has great sound. I like the addition to where you can hook your phone up to the head set through bluetooth to play music and take phone calls. I also feel like this headset is louder than the previous edition, as i can completely tune out my loud house . My only problem with this head set is that the mute button is not on the amp. It is kind of a hassle to go to mute on the cord. I also preferred the actual TAC that the last edition offered because it was more convenient to have everything in front of me rather than having to unlock the phone and ect. However, the Turtle beach hub app is easy to use and comes with some cool customization. I did find it easier to customize the sound that i wanted using the app rather than trying to guess the presets on the last edition. Overall i am pleased with the purchase.

For being top top teir for gaming the thing should work. I tried reflashing and updating firmare with no luck. The amp was just not functioning right at all. The volume control knob was completely unfunctional, volume was stuck at almost half way or less, was like if I was listening to music in a library worrying about bleed out. Also with the amp, the mic was unresponsive as well making the headset useless. Once the amp was ignored and plugged directly to controller, it worked as expected. But nothing brag worthy. Which is a disapointment as the amp superhuman hearing was only reason I wanted to pay for this garbage. Foam was insanely thick and uncomfortable. Overall weight was subpar. Sound quality was just okay. The mic was clear is all I can tell, but I'm not trying to sing a record, I'm trying to talk to teammates. Also the optical output on the ps4 is a lesser quality output so for them to recommend that as the default install shows they really are clueless and just smoke and mirrors to take your money. The turtle beach resembled nothing worthy of considered quality other than the pretty frame. I bought the budget Corsair for $30 overnight to get me by and its crazy how much more I liked it than this "Elite Pro".

One of the best top tier headsets out there **Make sure you update the mix amp (very easy to do)** **make sure you turn the sound all the way up on the output on your PlayStation or PC(then control from amp)** **make sure you toggle the correct system in the app** this is my only complaint that the amp doesn't auto-switch between PC and PS4 you have to go into the app and toggle the system. Overall very good headset very good sound quality, loud, and comfortable. The microphone is also a pass it isn't going to blow you away with the quality but solid overall **if opening your phone to change any of this is a deal-breaker you aren't going to like this amp** ** I have heard of people having Bluetooth issues I have had no issues with Bluetooth** Things controlled in the Turtle beach app: The app is very basic; the list of things controlled from the app: Game chat sound superhuman hearing lights(not much for lights just color and brightness) mic monitoring level voice prompt levels different EQ's (pretty basic) which system you are using (yes you have to switch between PS4 and PC ) The super amp does have Bluetooth so you are able to play music (or any sound) from your phone to the headset on top of your game sound and game chat which is really nice, also you are able to answer phone calls (pretty solid) upgraded over the Astro a40tr's, honestly not a huge difference in sound quality it's mainly they have different EQ's although I would still recommend over the A40tr's
