Excellent quality (as usual) from Emile Henry. This baking dish looks good and performs even better - oven to table. Cleans up very easily too. Highly recommend this brand.

Great product!

I was using a baking dish by another, very well-regarded company that did not meet the product specifications. To my dismay, I discovered that the other baking dish could not withstand a 450 degree oven. It virtually exploded. In spite of this unfortunate experience, I was intent on replacing the flawed product and did a great deal of research, including Amazon reviewers. I chose the EH baking dish finally, based in large part on the Amazon description of the item and in spite of a poor review based on the outside dimensions of the baking dish and not the inside dimensions. With all due respect to the negative review, I ordered the baking dish. It has turned out to be all that was promised in the item description: size (inside as well as outside measurements); heat range (up to 520 degrees) it can withstand; durability and scratch resistance; range of use (oven to freezer); and easy clean (yes!); high-fired Burgundy clay; and a scratch-resistant extremely hard glaze. The sides and bottom of the baking dish also are much thinner and, therefore, lighter in weight than most other baking dishes of the same type. Finally, the price is more than reasonable for this item. Good cookware costs more because it IS good! Weaknesses? At this point I cannot find one weakness. I love fine cookware (I use only All-Clad, Creuset, et.), and the Emil Henry baking dish fits more than satisfactorily into that category.

I purchased two of these and have absolutely no regrets with this purchase. They have worked flawlessly for me. I make Mac & Cheese, scalloped potatoes and roast veggies or squash in them. Clean up is so easy and my room mate has used abrasive pads while cleaning them without any scratches. Emile Henry claims these will go from freezer to oven...I have not tested that, but have went directly from the refrigerator to the oven (425 F) without any problems. So far they have been extremely durable. I purchased the smaller size as I am cooking just for two. Please keep in mind that the 11.4" x 7.5" size is the size including the handles. According to Emile Henry The walls taper down, the internal top measures 9 5/8" x 7" and the bottom measures 8 3/4" x 6. If this is too small for you consider purchasing the larger size (External size 14.2" x 9.1" including handles).

I wasn’t happy initially bc of the slight defects on the bottom of this bakeware but I also needed a lasagna pan right there and then so didn’t have time to refund and buy a new one. Despite that, I’m still willing to give this a big fat 5 star because Emile Henry bakeware is SO amazing. When I make lasagna in this way(I’m my photos) instead of the conventional way, it runs a high risk of drying out. I know bc I’ve made it in Pyrex glass baking pan before. But my lasagna is moist and absolutely a perfect darling in Emile Henry. Just buy this. It’s quality and the results it delivers is unequivocally superior to (insert other brands)

This is my new go to bake dish. I love it. It is the goldilocks size, just right for everything. Cleans up easy, looks nice, heats evenly. I probably need another one!

This is a nice size well made dish. It bakes what is in very evenly and cleans up really well. It is nice to have a product made in France. You can feel the quality of this dish. It came nicely packaged so no damage during shipping.
