Ocean Mist Sea Salt Spray, Wave, Texture, Grip & Volume for Texturizing Beach Waves, Matte Finish

This is the best surf spray I’ve ever used. My hair is very straight, fine, and soft, and doesn’t normally hold waves if I use a curling iron or braid it. But my favorite way to wear my hair in the summer now is to dampen it with water using a spray bottle, then spray this sea salt spray all over it, and wear it in two French braids all day. Then at night, I take it out and have a full head of waves. Sometimes it can even be a bit too wavy the same night, but if I sleep on it, I wake up with excellent, natural looking waves. And I LOVE the smell. It’s much more pleasant than the extremely strong Ouai scent, and has a lovely, suntan oil and salt scent. I also find that it doesn’t dull my hair’s shine the way other sprays like Bumble and Bumble do. I suck at doing my hair, and this product makes it easy.

I have very fine hair and hereditary hair loss. Products weigh my hair down and go flat within minutes. My hair will not hold a curl. I'm a hot mess :) I have tried everything to style my hair so I wasn't expecting much. I went with this particular one because it worked for thinning hair as suggested by hair care professionals. I was very pleasantly surprised!! I curled my hair with a Bed Head clipless wand.I had body and fullness, didn't look greasy or dirty and shut the front door it held my curls all fricking day while dancing around at a pool party in the heat! This spray will also " reactivate " if you wet your hands and scrunch your curls. It also had a pleasant beachy smell. I'm so glad I got this spray. I don't normally write reviews but anyone with my type of hair knows the pain of spending so much time trying to fake a great head of hair only for it to fall flat or lose you curl before you get out the door. This stuff works:)

Raise your hand if you've gotten a haircut, and afterwards, your hair stylist recommends you get products a, b, and c. Blinded by the halo of a good blowout, you succumb to whatever will sustain that newfound sense of confidence only to find that after day two, products a/b/c yield dismal results. Don't blame yourself! We've all been a victim (sadly, more than once). My very-expensive-difficult-to-refuse-handsome stylist *suggested I use this. NEVER! I refuse to have another 3/4-full bottle take up crucial bathroom real estate. That is--until day 3 when my hair looked as thick as it did after the blow-out. Call me lazy or Sachajuan highly efficient, but I didn't comb once in those 3 days. Brazilians, who? My observations: 1. My normally fine and limp hair had OOmpf. Will it transform hair into Cindy Crawford's mane? No. You need extensions for that. 2. Before I purchased this, I gave Philip B. Maui Wowie a test run--noticeably stickier, the scent equally as unappealing, and within 15 minutes, my hair decided to fall back to its natural (ahem, limp) state. Seriously guys, "Maui Wowie"--delusions of obtaining Barbie hair and a babe named Ken died at the age 6. 3. The trick--spray the roots, but sections at a time. 4. Sometimes when I'm feeling fancy, I like to change up my natural part. This does a great job of holding it in place. However, if you're going for grease lightening, this stuff can't sustain that altitude. There's something called WAX for that kind of sculpting. This is the one and only time I'll admit my stylist had my hair's best interest in mind.

This has become a bit of a daily driver to up my hair care routine. There are no unwanted ingredients and the existing formula does great for low-volume hair compositions like mine. Quantity at 5oz is just about right in terms of value, though it does make it a bit risky to travel with. The scent—somewhat of a light sea breeze—is really nice and personal. It won't flood an entire room with the scent (which is my preference), but it does give you a bit of a psychological boost when applied. Definitely recommend. And would love it if they came up with greater OZ products.

I am very torn on this product. It gave my hair a ton of volume. My curls held and even looked fabulous the next day. But the smell is so overwhelming, very chemical. I won't continue to use it as a result of the smell.

I ordered the Sachajuan sea salt spray after seeing it on an Instagram ad. Unfortunately, it smells nothing like an ocean mist and more like really cheap perfume. It was also relatively expensive at $38 for a small bottle and can't be returned. So I am stuck with this awful smelling product that I will sadly not put in my hair due to it's hella cheap smell.

I read about this brand as highly recommended for beachy hair. My hair is naturally curly but I wanted to define and accentuate curls and avoid straightening my hair which used to be my go-to look. I squirt this product all over my hair, take wet sections and twist them as tight as I can and let them air dry. While drying the curls open a bit and turn out just perfectly! If they are too tight I just flounce them a bit to open. I can even get another day out of my hair with it, if the curls go a bit flat over night I squirt those strands again, twist again, and it looks great again! Love this product!!

It leaked, but nothing too bad...The product is excellent and here on Amazon it costs less than on Sachajuan's website. I'm a fan since 2019 and the scalp line is my all-time favourite. I've had shiny and fabulous hair since I've adopted this brand. The only thing is that when I stopped they fell out so quickly...I've suffered from alopecia when I stopped using Sachajuan's products, and my hair were horrible. I also use Eva NYC, but this brand is way better.

This is really good. Only spray this on my roots and it give my fine hair a really good lift. Would absolutely buy this again.

Es un muy buen producto , desde la primera aplicación se siente la calidad , desafortunadamente , llegó con un desgaste notable , evidentemente fue en el trayecto y a pesar de encintar , se tiró producto , no lo devolvi porque es más tardado el proceso, si lo volvería a comprar pero no con este proveedor.

I’ve had problems with my hair staying up. I put this product on my hair and I was able to style it perfectly. Be sure to use a blow dryer.

I was researching Fall Fashion for my current novel, "Social Secrets" & saw Ocean Mist's ad. I grew up in Santa Monica, California and spent most of my days, and many nights, on the beach. Hair was never an issue because the salt water, wind and sun took care of it. I thought, "Hey, give it a try!" Glad I did. Sooo easy to keep my hair presentable, a little grayer but super easy. I never thought I would find the hair solution of my youth in a bottle. Thanks!
