i am so thankful for this herb! i had a lot of trouble with milk production. i visited the lactation consultant they recommended frequent pumping (12 x a day!) and it helped a little but not enough. I continued to do research because I was desperate i wanted to breastfeed my son so bad, my whole pregnancy i was looking forward to bonding with my son in a way no one else could. i found out the fenugreek was used so i bough it and again it helped but still not enough my son still woke up every 2 hours to eat! I also noticed that my son was very fussy he was very gassy and would cry a lot! the fenugreek alone also constipated me so I did more search and I read that the combination of blessed thistle and fenugreek were great for increasing milk production. I bought it and I've been drinking it for 2 days and i can't already see a world of difference. my son is no longer in pain because of the gas, i am no longer constipated, and my breast are always full of milk! I'm going back to work in a month so I'm already building up my milk supply in the freezer. these two herb were honestly the answer to my prayers, i guess the only down side is that i smell like maple syrup! i did research and it says that these herbs will make you smell like maple syrup.

I've been taking 2 of these twice per day in addition to Fenugreek (3 capsules 3 times per day) to help boost my milk supply. I do think it's helping more than just taking the Fenugreek on its own, but the increase in my milk production is not huge. Everybody responds to things differently, though. I'm going to take a break from the Fenugreek/Blessed Thistle combo after I run out of them and try something else. I may go back to them in a month or two.

I bought these two years ago for my first baby, but was too late to get her back to the breast, she just wasn't interested. So when my second started to show signs of just not getting full enough, I remembered I got these before and thankfully they were still good from last time! I take a combination of blessed thistle, fenugreek, and prenatal pills and saw immediate results by the next day. Usually my breasts feel a bit deflated and even in the morning they're only a little fuller than the night before, this led to cluster feeding and oversleeping. But now, they fill like they're supposed to! Every 3 or 4 hours they're fuller and my daughter seems full and happy too. They're like little miracle pills. 😊

This is a good product, but I am not a 100% sure if it really did anything to increase my milk supply. I took it for 6 weeks (3x2 a day) along with fenugreek, but then stopped taking this, and now I am only taking fenugreek. It may have contributed to my establishing a good supply, hard to know now. It seems that fenugreek was what did the trick - I actually started taking the blessed thistle a week or so earlier than fenugreek, and nothing happened.

I use this 2-3 times per day, along with fenugreek and ground flaxseed, to maintain an adequate breastmilk supply. I’m nursing 2 children. I did experience a supply reduction when I was hospitalized briefly, and was away from them for a few days. As soon as I returned home, I ordered this blessed thistle, along with fenugreek, and I picked up a bag of flaxseed meal from a local store. My milk supply increased in about 1-1.5 weeks. It has remained more than adequate ever since, so I continue to take this combination of galactagogues.
