I picked up the Vortex Crossfire HD 1400 for this year’s season, and it’s already earned a permanent spot in my pack. It’s quick, dead-on accurate, and easy to use even with cold hands. The readings pop up fast, which makes a huge difference when you’re trying to range a buck that isn’t going to stand still for long. The glass is crisp, the display is clear in low light, and the lightweight build means it doesn’t feel like you’re lugging around extra gear. The angle compensation is spot-on for shooting from a stand or across uneven ground. If you hunt, you know how important reliable ranging is. This thing delivers every time. Absolutely worth it.

I bought this rangefinder for multiple purposes—military training, recreational shooting, golfing, and outdoor activities—and it has performed well across all of them. Performance & Features Accurate Readings on Larger Structures & Terrain– Reaches out to 1,400 yards on large structures/terrain and delivers consistent, accurate readings. Great for navigation purposes, terrain association, and terrain sketches as well as range finding on the golf course. Accurate Readings on Single Targets– Easily reaches out to the 750 yards advertised for game. Readings are, again, consistent and accurate. Great for hunting and other recreational shooting purposes. User-Friendly Design – Simple functions, an easy-to-read display, and quick focusing for nearly any eye relief. Durability & Battery Life – So far, it has handled rough conditions without issue, and the battery life has been excellent. Compact & Lightweight – Small enough to fit into a pocket or magazine pouch, making it easy to carry. Carrying Options & Accessories– Package comes with a well-built pouch, neck strap, and clipped elastic lanyard, providing multiple ways to secure and carry it. For the price, this rangefinder delivers outstanding performance. Whether for the range, the golf course, or the field, it’s a top-tier option. After extensive use, I’ll likely be sticking with Vortex for future rangefinders.
