Easier to use than most
At first, I wasn't sure about these, since the threaded lock seemed like maybe not the best idea, since they could back off. However, there does seem to be a purposeful catch at the end of the threads that hold the screw in place, and so far it hasnt had any issues. I have these on a 6 string bass, not my heaviest by any means, but these are nice and secure. The big reason I really like these is that the actual catch for the strap button is nice and wide, with a tapered end that actually makes it easy to slip the strap on and off, while most pull-tab style strap locks tend to be kinda touchy when it comes to lining them back up and putting them on. My only complaint is that the colors seem to only impact the button and not the visible pull button on the outside of the strap. No big deal if you go with all black hardware, but for gold hardware or chrome hardware, I do kinda feel like it impacts the appearance of it. So long as that continues, I do plan on using these in any application that requires black hardware, but I sincerly hope they have recolored versions available later, since there are some gold hardware basses I've had that these just dont look ideal on. That said, from a purely functional standpoint, I love them.

The last straplocks youll ever need
Ive never had straplocks with this design and I must say its very impressive. Its a good solid lock, lightweight and not bulky and very easy to remove when you want to. The set comes basically assembled for you so all you gotta do is screw them into your guitar and attach the other end to your favorite strap. Unlike some other straplocks I've had these ones are designed and compatible with the standard strap cutout shape. I highly recommend these over the cheaper ones I wont buy any others again

The best strap locks!
I might need to revisit this review after a year or so of use, but so far I love these strap locks. Most strap locks have some annoying drawback that prevents them from being an obvious win over plain strap buttons, such as: - Only working with specific straps - Preventing you from using normal straps - Ugly appearance - Greatly increasing how far the strap attaches from the guitar or having parts that stick out and get caught on objects These locks manage to avoid all these. First, they look great while still being subtle; it isn't immediately obvious to everyone that you are using strap locks except upon closer inspection. They're pretty low-profile as well, so while it *does* add some height compared to ordinary strap buttons it is not by very much. Secondly, and my favorite part, is that the pin the locks are designed to, well, lock on, are designed to be extremely similar in shape to an ordinary strap button. No, you probably cannot reuse your existing buttons (the dimensions must be exact), you can in fact attach a normal strap to the base part as if it were a button, if for whatever reason you needed to switch straps quickly to one without locks on it. Additionally, there's a good chance that you can reuse the existing screws from your guitar's original strap buttons (as long as they aren't oversized), I was able to do this for all but one of my guitars. Why would you want to do this? Well the main reason is to ensure that you are using screws with the correct size and thread depth; using different screws will cut new threads into the wood of your guitar which will weaken the screwhole overall and increase the risk of the screw simply ripping out. And finally, these locks will fit on just about any strap. They tighten down and clamp the strap itself to add strength, so the strap is not going to slip out of the lock. Overall the entire mechanism feels very sturdy and well-designed, and unlocking requires a decent amount of intentional force. I definitely trust these to keep my guitar strap attached to my guitar better than a plain strap button.

#1 Strap Locks compared to Dunlop, Schaller and Generics...
Superior to the Dunlop's in my view. I have had the Dunlop's for many years and they are fine, probably second to these. My issue has been they can be harder to release from the guitar after sitting awhile (the point of a 'quick-release'), and the install is a bit more tedious. These stand out/stick from the guitar about the same distance, but look and function better...at least so far. I am not sure why they come with the white felt, as that stands out on a darker guitar - so I just reused the black felt that came on the existing pins. I have also tried some of the cheapy ones here on Amazon, I don't trust the build on those. The Schaller Guitar S Locks look good and beefy, but stand out/off the guitar even farther than Dunlop or these.

Great strap locks, but wish they were actually black
Design wise, these are excellent. They look great, are low profile and are super secure, unless maybe if you're with The Dillinger Escape Plan. Only downside is for the folks with OCD, the "black" set aren't really black... they are more of a gun metal color. So if you have true black hardware, these strap buttons don't quite match the rest of your hardware. I am looking for a black set of buttons that fit in the strap lock, but have not found any with the correct size/shape.

Nice strap locks. Buy them.
I've tried Schaller, Dunlop, and a variety of other strap locks. They're all ok, and this one is no exception. I believe these are better priced then the previously mentioned brands, while maybe costing a bit more than say, Guyker. I don't like how much the others make your strap stick out, and while this still isn't flush with the body either, it's a lot closer. Looks nicer this way. I can't speak to the durability yet, as I haven't had them on long enough, or played enough gigs with these, so I may come back and knock a star off, but truthfully, I don't buy strap locks for the "safety" feature. Honestly, I buy them so I can put on and remove the strap quickly and use it with other guitars.

Very secure
Replaced the strap locks on all my guitars/straps with these. They’re easy to install and much more secure. Makes it easy to quickly swap guitars without doing over-the-shoulder acrobatics.

Installed on 1968ish 'Hagstrom HII NOT' Canadian version (see HII NOT 1972 but with Fender style headstock and a damper mech on bridge). This classic is all stock and pristine so replacing pins wasn't high on my options list. Installed buttons on strap and they slipped securely over existing pins so you hardly know they're there. Packaged like gold cuff-links! haha. If they stand the test of time (which I'm confident they will) I would absolutely buy again if needed
