It actually works!
I don’t usually write reviews but this product surprised me. I was pretty skeptical of this, I’ve seen many mixed reviews but thought I’d try this one over other hair strippers as I trust the Revolution brand. My hair is naturally dark brown, I haven’t bleached any of the hair on my head currently (fully grown out previous bleached hair) but I have used several brown and then red box dyes over the past 3/4 years every few months. After my last attempt of having my hair dyed brown by the hairdressers, for it not to work (it didn’t cover the red) I decided I’d try strip my hair for the first time. I washed and dried my hair two days prior so my hair was clean and followed the instructions and time as recommended. I cannot believe how light my hair is in comparison to what I started with, I expected that if the product did work, my hair would end up brown but it’s a lot lighter than my natural brown hair, as I stated before, none of this hair has been bleached, the stripper lightened my hair which had been box dyed but left my roots their natural brown colour. I also like the fact this hair stripper removes product buildup because I do use shampoo and conditioner which contain silicones, so it’s nice to give it a fresh start. Hair texture feels ever so slightly different to what it was before but it doesn’t feel or look damaged, my hair is still just as glossy as before. Product does smell a bit but I predicted it to be a lot worse than what it actually was. After washing my hair which felt like eternity I can smell the product a little bit this should go in a couple of washes. Only slight downside to this product is the instructions at the end say use bottle ‘d’ which I presume was a conditioner but there wasn’t one in my box, so I just used my regular conditioner at the end. Definitely will be purchasing this particular hair colour remover if I need one in the future and would recommend it to friends. If you have hair longer than your shoulders and/or really thick hair I suggest getting two boxes. 1 box was just enough for my thin, just past the shoulder length hair.

Works as long as you follow instructions properly
Honestly, follow the instructions to a T with these. Make sure your hair is clean and dry. I washed and dried mine same day as applying this. This actually smells nice (ish) when mixing, but does leave a slight chemically lingering smell for maybe a day. This stripped all layers of black and plum from my hair from a good 6 years if dying over and over. And i wanted to go red for the new year (and forever now!) so used this and im very impressed with how the colour ive just applied has come out. I waited a day before applying the red. Tried another brand before, lifted the colour nicely, but the red i applied afterward went too dark, because sillily i didn't rinse the colour stripper out previously for the full 5 mins 3x as per the instructions. Apparently its because the dye particles will re expand within the strands and this darkens your hair again if they arent rinsed out properly. Now i know why hair dyes are never the resulting colour before mixing! Tried this, and timed my rinses. rinsed for 5mins with warm water, applied half of bottle C, leave in, rinse for another 5mins, and then again, rest of bottle C, and rinse 5 mins. Heck id suggest rinsing for 6 mins just to make sure. The rinsing stage after applying bottle C is icky, hair felt really nasty while rinsing and i was close to stopping but figured, i need to keep rinsing or itll be another waste of money. But i applied a seperate conditioner straight after all the rinsing and my gosh, my hair had never been softer after all that! Fully reccomend.

Dosent even work and it stinks for days
So first off the smell is disgusting it stinks your house out and your hair I tried everything but my hair smelled for agis after the produt didn't work it ruined my hair my hair was black and instead of stripping it back to my natural hair it turned it three shades of brown my roots are almost natural looking my roots and fridge went dark ginger and my mid and ends a really dark brown it's ugly I had no colour before the black and it was a box die black so it shouldn't have gone different colours I've never used it killed my hair I did what the instructions told me to do still no good the owner is unhelpful rude and ignorent has taken no responsibility for the product and is telling me to go through Amazon but Amazon can't help me o keep telling them this but they are hiding from it but I won't be letting up so you all know don't get this product maybe I had a bad batch but I don't thinks so

Results depend on your brand of box dye
This works very well with some permanent hair dyes, and less so with others. I've found that loreal permanent black hair dye is removed very well and got me to a ginger but Live permanent black hair dye got me to a chestnut brown. It's really very easy to use and doesn't stain much but if you get it on fabrics it will sometimes bleach it and change the colour. The smell really isn't great and your hair does smell strange for a few days afterwards. But this is the only hair dye remover I trust and works well. I have never found it to fail completely it just depends what brand of box dye you have on your hair. I really do recommend
