Very gritty

Basically, this is just a beef stick. I was a bit apprehensive about trying this at first because of how it looked but I gave the old trade school try and took a bite. It's pretty much like a Slim Jim. It doesn't have that dry. snappy (huh?) "skin" of a Slim Jim but the taste is a distant cousin to one (I do miss the skin, though. Ew.) I really do appreciate that it doesn't have the little fat globules that a Slim Jim has. That's always grossed me out a little. The texture is decent. Please keep in mind, this is NOT a jerky product - it's a BEEF bar. It just rolls off the tongue, right?!? I love jerky and this ain't jerky. Anyway, it's squishy/rubbery enough to have a nice texture without being too dry/crumbly. It also has a good spicy heat level from the pepper. A lot of people wouldn't appreciate the heat (I'm looking at YOU, Mom!) but I like it. I would give this a solid 4 stars but they only gave me 11 bars and 1 vacuum-sealed wrapper (see photo). So, 3 stars it is. I will buy this again to maintain my meat cravings but they better give me a solid dozen next time! <Shaking fist>

On carnivore diet and these do the trick when I'm out and about. I thought these were the different epic ones... The texture on this medicine is a little bit more like pressed dog food and not a jerky.

They are beef fat and salt. A great carnivore snack to keep to the way of eating i love. Sometimes I just need something and don't want to cook.

A little spicier than what I expected. For sure got a kick. Other than that, good taste, good shelf life, nothing sketchy, nice texture. Little spendy but primarily used for emergency food in the car, so not terribly expensive for that purpose.
