Good PoE switch
This PoE switch is good quality and works very well. The 4 ports handle the four PoE security cameras I have attached to it and the two uplink ports are nice to have. I use one of the uplink ports to connect to my main network and the other as an uplink to a PC. This switch is currently at a remote building and connects to my main network with a gigabit 5G wireless bridge allowing me to monitor the remote building from my main location and allows me to use a PC at that location with a reliable network connection. It does not seem to get to hot and has handled hot areas without failure or issues.

It Works Great, but it's huge!
This switch works great. I maxed my little fiber connection out on a playstation (connected with a Category 8 40' cable) and a PC (connected with a Category 5e 25' cable) the same as if they were plugged directly into the router. It has yellow and green lights on each port to let you know that you are connected to a device and the green blinks with activity. It worked with my security system and powered the cameras when connected to it. Not uploading pics of that sorry. The unit barely felt above room temperature when left on for an hour when I placed my hand on it. There's a couple of drawbacks. There's no way to mount the unit on a wall. It's huge and takes up a lot of table area. It looks like you could put it in a server rack or something because it has screw holes on the sides which I don't have. So my only option is to lay it flat on something. I'm knocking 2 stars off because there's no option to mount the device on a wall. Had I known that I wouldn't have chosen it. Otherwise it is working flawlessly. The AC power cord plugs directly into the device. No power warts to contend with, yay. However the power cord is only 4'6" long so you will probably need an extension cord if you put it in an out of the way area away from a socket. A 6' or 8' cord would be perfect. Overall It works great. It's a solid ethernet switch with POE making it a great option for those who are planning on expanding their network or security systems.

Feature-rich switch even for a non-techy like me
I had a couple of Ethernet cables running from where the utility enters my cabin to my desk area, to serve my computer and printer. This didn't look so good, so I thought it would be better to add an Ethernet switch to get rid of at least one of the cables. Because I live in a cave, I was not quite up to date on how PoE (power over Ethernet) works. So apparently this nifty switch from Keeplink can power security cameras etc. right over the cable. I'll be able to use this feature, I believe. Not only does this switch improve the cosmetics of my living space, it also is delivering some fast fast speeds from what I can tell on my desktop computer and printer. A couple of things to note: * You don't get a pair of short Ethernet cables with this PoE switch. When you see included cables mentioned in reviews, that refers to a different Keeplink product. So order some Ethernet cables if you are short, noting (I think I have this correct) you have different Ethernet cables for regular connections vs. PoE. * The instruction manual might as well be written in Greek for someone non-techy like me. I was wondering if the incoming Ethernet should go into a port labeled Uplink (yes), and whether I needed to do anything with the DIP switches. (I didn't touch them, and things seem to be working OK.) The informative graphics on the product page were somewhat more useful. I'm liking the performance of this switch, to the point I *may* even put my laptop on Ethernet, if it makes everything faster.
