Great updated model - Now lights up!
I recently purchased the SofaBaton U2 Universal Remote Control, and it has completely transformed my home entertainment experience. Managing multiple remotes for my TV, soundbar, Blu-ray player, and streaming devices was cumbersome, but the U2 has streamlined everything into a single, user-friendly device.Setting up the U2 was straightforward. Using the SofaBaton app, I easily added my devices by selecting their brands and models. The remote’s extensive code library supports over 6,000 brands and 500,000 devices, ensuring compatibility with both new and older equipment . For devices not in the database, the infrared learning feature allowed me to program the remote using the original remotes, providing flexibility and convenience. One of the standout features is the ability to create macros. With a single button press, I can power on my TV, soundbar, and Blu-ray player in a specific sequence, enhancing my viewing experience. The remote’s ergonomic design, scroll wheel for quick device switching, and responsive buttons make it comfortable and intuitive to use .The U2’s backlit buttons are a game-changer for nighttime use, and the “raise to wake” function ensures the OLED display is visible whenever I pick up the remote. These thoughtful features contribute to a seamless and enjoyable user experience. The SofaBaton U2 Universal Remote Control has exceeded my expectations. Its ease of setup, broad compatibility, customizable features, and ergonomic design make it an essential tool for simplifying and enhancing home entertainment systems. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to consolidate their remotes into one efficient device. So much better now that it lights up. They keep making the product better. The range is better than the previous model as well. Very user friendly app making the remote programming simple. I highly recommend the U2 remote!

Great universal remote
I’ve been using the Sofabaton U2 Universal Remote for a while now, and it’s honestly a game-changer. I was tired of juggling multiple remotes for my TV, sound system, and streaming devices, and this remote finally gave me a way to control everything with one device.Setting it up was surprisingly easy. The Sofabaton app walks you through the process, and it recognized most of my devices instantly. For the ones it didn’t, the learning function worked like a charm. The scroll wheel is a nice touch, making it simple to switch between devices without hunting for buttons. What really stands out is the macro feature—I programmed a single button to turn on my TV, receiver, and soundbar at the same time, which saves a ton of hassle. The build quality is solid too; it feels comfortable in the hand and not cheap like some other universal remotes I’ve tried. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced, easy-to-use universal remote that actually does what it promises, the Sofabaton U2 is absolutely worth it.

Very good, with only a few issues.
First, the good:- The remote is solid. Feels well made, easy to hold, buttons are responsive, controls the devices well. No complaints there.- The remote programming is well designed and easy. Really quite a bit easier than for the Harmony remote that I've had for years.- Tech support is wonderfully responsive, even on a Sunday or at times when you're sure they won't be there, they are. Huge kudos for this. The not so good:- The app does not seem to have a way to update the remote's firmware to allow for improvements. Does the company expect customers to buy a new remote every time a new feature is announced?- There is no way currently for users to copy one remote's configuration to a new remote. So if your remote is lost or damaged or just wears out, plan on spending as much time reprogramming the new remote as you did for the first one. This is a big deal. If you have multiple AV devices, you could spend a long time learning commands from your original remotes and configuring buttons and creating macros. To have to duplicate this effort every time you replace your remote with a new one is not good. There is a backup option in the app. It seems this might be the easiest way to implement this: backup from one remote, restore to the next. But, to my knowledge, this isn't yet available.- Macros are limited to 10 steps/button "presses". To accomplish what I wanted a macro to do I had to create two macros and assign them to two different buttons. So, bottom line: the remote is very good and completely recommended. All of these problems could, I think, be fixed in a firmware update, if the app had that ability. Hopefully the company will be successful enough to implement these features in the future.
