Nice 'n Easy Root Touch-Up 4R Kit (Pack of 2), Matches Dark Auburn/Reddish Brown Hair Color Shades, Superior Grey Coverage

Update - this last time, it did cover my grey roots but the root color ended up being more like a light golden brown (eg a 6.5G) Almost as if they put the wrong color in the box, or the right color had been sitting on the shelf too long and didn’t work anymore. So my roots are no longer grey, but they’re much much lighter than the rest of my hair. ******** It covers my grey roots well, but I leave it in for closer to 20 minutes rather than 10. Also, it’s not quite as dark as a 4R on me - more like a 5R or 6R that I’d get at my salon. But the 5R root touch up was even lighter on me, so I stick with the 4R.

This root touch-up works quickly, and the brush makes it easy to apply to those difficult greys on my sideburn area. I have dark auburn hair, which is more brown than auburn (L'Oreal 465). It isn't easy to match my hair color without getting too red or too brown unless I open a box of my regular dye. This was okay for getting a smaller area that my regular hair coloring missed. I found this color to be pretty light despite leaving it on longer than suggested. It covered my grey, but the color was not a great match.

Love the product because it makes the hair feel nice and full. Is it expensive and has a consistent color?

Great color 4R auburn. Covers grey well and is easy to use. My grey comes through quickly so I have this on subscribe and save so I can guarantee to find the right color as it’s hit and miss at the store.
