XOOL Emergency Warning Triangle Kit – Roadside Safety Kit with Reflective Warning Triangles, High-Visibility Safety Vests, Storage Bag & Gloves for Car Breakdowns & Emergencies

Haven’t had to use this, but I opened the bag (which is lightweight and durable, with a sturdy handle) when it arrived to get familiar with the layout. All the contents are organized and easily accessible; no ridiculous packaging or anything to struggle to open during a stressful situation. Bright colors easily stand out. Good quality gloves. The triangles aren’t difficult to set up or store (they’re inside those orange tubes), and probably won’t break or topple easily, though I recommend practicing at least once. I reversed the direction that the folded vests (which were snug under a net pocket) faced so that I’d pull on the solid side instead of the side with the two ends. Thanks XOOL for offering such a well-put-together kit that could potentially save a life someday. I store it in the truck by my first aid kit.

Just what we needed for traveling in our RV. We hoped we wouldn’t need it, but glad we had it when we did.

This review is for the XOOL Safety Triangle Warning kit. Overall, In my opinion, this is a good visibility-kit for roadside emergency situations for this price, but it could use a couple of improvements. Triangle sides are about 17 inches long. Kit is about 18 x 5 x 2 inches. Made in China. The Triangles (2): The most important components, the collapsible plastic reflective triangles, look to be very sturdy, with metal riveted construction, and I think they will last. However, the inner "oxford cloth" portion of the triangles appears to just be thin, reflective plastic (like garbage bags are made of) and I expect it will eventually tear, limiting the triangles effectiveness in the daytime. I would recommend that this inner portion be made of reflective nylon, rather than plastic, for durability. The triangles look as though they would stand up to a mild breeze and not skid on the pavement, due to the rubberized supports. The triangles are easy to set up without directions. (Note: I Just received this kit and have not actually used it on the highway yet.) The vests (2): Reflective, with a single 3 inch strip of velcro in the front to keep it closed. I think it would do the job, but that depends on your size and what season it is. I am M/L size and the vest closed adequately over a t shirt. However, when I tried it over a medium weight jacket, it wasn't really large enough to fasten and I'm sure it wouldn't close over a down coat. So it won't fasten in cold weather and that could limit it's effectiveness under breezy conditions. I think the 2X size designation on the label is definitely misleading for Americans. The gloves (2): They are of surprisingly good quality and fit my medium size hands, but probably wouldn't fit a small or large person very well. The cases: A very nice black, ballistic nylon case with a good quality (no name) zipper. The lid portion has a useful full length mesh pocket for holding the vests and gloves. There are two handy oblong orange plastic containers for holding the collapsed triangles inside the nylon case. Pros: Sturdy, good quality metal-riveted plastic triangles Tough and useful cases Cons: Daytime Inner reflective triangles are made of cheap, thin, bag-type plastic, not "oxford cloth" as stated in the description. These should be made of nylon. The listing photo is also misleading, making the inner triangle look thick. It is not. Vest will not fit over jackets (for a medium size person), limiting it's usefulness in chilly or cold weather. It should be expandable. I would have given this kit five stars, if the vests were expandable and the inner daytime-reflective triangles were nylon.

Needed to use them when I broken now just infront of a junction the other day. Super fast to put up, stayed inplace despite a breeze, and vehicles driving by at speed. Definitely did the job, they might look flimsy but they seem sturdy enough, and take up such a small amount of room in the back of the SUV, I am glad I did not hesitate to buy.

The case keeps everything together and makes the trunk organized and uncluttered. The vest might not close over a winter coat but it still improves visibility dramatically. The orange plastic fabric is certainly durable enough for emergency use. I noticed that slightly spreading or narrowing the front and back legs of the emergency triangle made it stand upright rather than leaning slightly forward. If it is really windy you might want it to slightly lean depending on the wind direction. I bought a second one for my sister-in-law and I can recommend it to others. A simple, one-item safety solution. Your first action is to stay well out of the path of any car/truck that might hit you. But this can help minimize any collisions and the injury to others that might hit your vehicle. Also I guess, it could minimize any potential liability claims against you. That would be a benefit even if you are in an area that doesn't legally require you to have these items. Do note that a pair of work gloves is includes which would be great if you have to change a tire, etc.

The bag is compacted and easy to store. It has all what I needed.

These are a compromise between light weight and durability. I had one triangle that was twice the weight of these three. I want to carry them in my truck but if I’m in an accident I don’t want to be knocked cold by my safety triangle. These seem like they are sturdy without being overly heavy. These are easy to set up. Come in a nice case and if I break down in a wind storm I’ll find something to weight them down with. They are light but not flimsy. Would buy again.
