I actually purchased this flash to test a couple of ZENIKO mini flash triggers. After checking reviews, I decided to give the GODOX iM30 a shot. And.....I was pleasantly surprised. It's a nice compact flash that worked perfectly with the two cameras I tested it with (SONY A6400, and CANON 90D). I tested this flash with and without the ZENICO triggers. RESULTS: No flash delay between shots, recognized by both cameras. Looks good on either, but I will probably utilize it more so on the A6400. I used various settings with the adjustable flash settings, with little difficulty. Batteries not included, but it takes two AAA batteries. PROS: Again, no delays between shots. replaceable batteries. Compact size means easy storage and transportation in a small bag or pocket. Really bright adjustable flash for distance shots. Actually, brighter that the flashes I have on my cameras. Comes with a plastic Lense cap, definitely a plus, and a storage net bag. CONS: None so far MY THOUGHTS: Wasn't necessarily going to keep this, and wasn't expecting too much from it. But....I'm sold on it. Great little mini flash, with nice adjustment capabilities. Never really a fan of rechargeable batteries you can’t access or replace. This uses AAA regular, or I'm sure Lithium-Ion batteries. definitely a keeper.

Not the very tiniest flash but quite small and easy to carry around. Considerable power and best of all to my mind very fast recycle times. Uses two AAA batteries which are available anywhere in a pinch. Rechargeables are best for the long term. Many hundreds of flashes per set of batteries. Works on any camera with a standard hot shoe and with digital cameras, exposure is easy to figure with just a test flash.

This thing is pretty cool. You can throw it on top of your camera and it gives you a neat "retro-style" on-camera flash look, or you can use a bounce card and it makes a decent poor-man's speedlight. I use it for filling light when doing product photography, as it can be fired optically, or on the camera's shoe, so the ability to remote trigger grants one a bunch more versatility in use. Setup is easy. Battery life on two AAA rechargeables is pretty good. Value for the money is there; this is a better-than-decent pocket flash unit.

Weak power lighthing ,fill flash light is very dim , I have to set f/2 or higher ISO value on my fuji xt10 camera , battery life is very short ony 40-50 shot not 230 - big lie don't believe what they say not true . My nikon flash are almost perfect working all the time balance are excellent, other godox flash units are very good working, except IM30 only 15 m Guide number should have 20 m or 25 m guide number , I got 54 years photograph experience but small size and light weight are easy to carry street photo all day. Love this adaptive flash. It’s very bright! I’m still learning to use it on my camera and sometimes half of the photo is bright and not bright but that’s all in the camera settings! Overall, this equipment is amazing! It does its job and I’m so happy I got it! Battery life is sustainable, haven’t had to charge it yet and I got it 6 months ago, the value is so worth it and very compatible with my camera!

The flash worked perfectly for the few months it was working. I’m not sure why it stopped when it’s been kept safe. The speed took some time to get used to but once you played it , my photos came out great. A little plastic but durable, I changed the battery once. I wish it was a plug in type thing. I’d say it could’ve been less than what it is since it didn’t last a full 6 months. I probably had a malfunctioning one but would give it a try again. It’s out of my time window to return but I hope the sellers see this review and reach out.

I got this flash for my ZV-1 Mark II mainly because of its small size and clean design. It does the job for basic close-up shots, and the brightness is decent in darker indoor settings. However, the flash recycle time can be a little slow, and it’s not the most consistent in terms of output. Picture quality improves a bit with it, but not dramatically. For the price, it’s okay—not amazing, but works if you need something small and portable.

Good so far! Received it & when tried on my Sony ZV-1 it was very bright. After some research, found out that ISO has to be adjusted (I changed to 200) and that made a huge difference. It’s convenient to use the batteries, but charging as an option would’ve been nice.
