Human Physiology: An Integrated Approach

this book has been republished a zillion times. I can tell you why. the information is well laid out. it is very easy to understand. terms are explained. tons of diagrams and pictures to aid in learning. the author has done an amazing job. I have looked at several other textbooks and this one by far has got them beat. even if you aren't a student and only interested in learn about your anatomy. this book is such a fun read and takes you through all the information as if you were watching Khan Academy. very easy to engage and learn. gives hyperlinks for extra learning and walk through diagrams that reinforce the text. 7-stars to the publishers.

The textbook was easy to understand. It will be a good reference for nursing school and I’m glad the professor assigned this text.

I used this for a human physiology course at college. The book was perfect for the course and gave detailed explanations of everything covered in class. The physiology of all the major organ systems is covered as well as some integrative physiology such as senses that combined multiple organ systems. The discussions of biology at the cellular level are just enough to understand what is happening at the tissue level. An interesting point is that the people in example diagrams are very diverse racially, gender-wise, and age-wise. I appreciated this diversity-conscious approach to the illustrations. I have found from looking at my friends' 5th edition textbooks that it is not all that different from this edition, and I would recommend any cash-strapped student to buy the 4th edition.

The book is beautiful and I am honestly so relieved to have a great physical copy. Thank you very much!

Just what I needed. I only needed the text book. For those who can’t seem to read the description- this is a text book only, no access code. If some people would read a little below the description then they’ll see which book they need to search for to get the access code they need. But if all you’re looking for is the book then this is it. Perfect for what I need.

Love it so much I’ll keep it instead of just renting it! Super clear language, well-organized, and helpful supplemental digital learning features online! They understand the material so well that any basic college student/learner could pick this stuff up! The diagrams are very clear and useful as well!
