Very easy assembly, just the handle and knob. It's the perfect size to use in the kitchen, after meals we take it to the outside compost. We have forgotten and left stuff in it for a few days, never had a bad odor in the house (until you open the lid). Never had any fruit flies or nats. It's coated, so super easy to clean out. It comes with an extra filter for the lid. We have been using this for several months and it still looks brand new. Love the style, looks great sitting out, no one would think it's holding egg shells and onion peels! HA HA

I'm loving my little compost bin. Right away you can tell it's a quality product. Several weeks in and there is absolutely no detectable smell; the filter and lid design function well. I chose this product for the matte color and bamboo hardware, but I've come to appreciate the design for its functionality as well as its aesthetic.

Looks so beautiful on my Cambria Fairbourne Quartz countertop against the same quartz backsplash. So much so that it looks like it could be an accessory (from Cambria). It is not only stylish, but extremely well made. I've had a lot of countertop indoor compost pails, but they all pale (pun intended) in comparison to this one. The not one but two thick charcoal filters are an added bonus. There's a slot in the top where they fit snuggly. The wood accents, knob on top, handle, are well made. It's rust proof and mine appears to be, fruit fly proof. Perhaps it's because the lid fits tightly, but not too tight that it's a struggle to remove (one review commented: " The only negative I have is the lid can be difficult to get off,"). Well, I guess that has to do with one' s fingers/wrist strength, because it comes off the way you would want it to, for a compost pail-you want a tight fit! Almost like it's sealed. Hopefully the manufacturers won't take that review to heart and change anything. I can't say enough positive things about this compost pail! It's beauitful and looks just like it does in the picture on amazon.

It’s sturdy, large and stylish and sits well on my counter top. I like the color. It has a replacable filter and so far it hasn’t smelled. The ad says airtight but the lid has air holes so that’s the only part I was a bit confused about (hence 4 stars) but all in all, I like my purchase, good for the price.

The compost bin looks exactly as it did in the photos. The color is a perfect beige color that matches my countertops and backsplash well. I am very happy with the overall look of the item. Function so far is good, but has only been in use for a week or so. One complaint I have is that the curved wooden carrying handle was a but rough when I received it and could have caused slivers. I took some 400 grit sandpaper to it lightly and that resolved the issue. I am hopeful that I will not have any issues because I love it! It is beautiful and functional!

Excellent at odor control. Rinses clean easily. I have been using it for several months and it still looks new. It’s large enough so that it doesn’t need to be emptied daily even though we add to it several times a day. Worth its price.

I keep it for kitchen garbage rather than a compost bucket- works great- looks nice beside the sink- keeps smelly stuff out of larger kitchen garbage bin

Beautiful and great for a countertop compost bin (as we use it so frequently it doesn’t work for us to have it put away)!
