Really cool, but busy!!
My kids love these books! The illustrations are really amazing, but it is SO busy! I've gotten to the point where I only read what's in the white text boxes to them because all the other stuff on the page jumbles together to make it non-sensical. When my kids (6 & 8) are reading to themselves, they seem to have no problem with it.

My grandson was so interested in this book that he didn't put it down until he was more than 1/2 way through it!

Complicated, but fascinating
Our favorite inventors book is "Great Inventors" by Gillian Clements. This book by Marcia Williams is full of her trademark happy illustrations and conversational asides. It is cute, and packed with information. Some of the pages become distracting, there is so much owl conversation and turtles frolicking, etc.
