I absolutely love this card reader. It works perfectly every time no glitches, no connection issues, and transactions process quickly. The setup was simple, and the touchscreen is very responsive and easy to navigate. What really stands out is how compact and portable it is. It fits right in my pocket or small bag, which makes it perfect for taking payments on the go. The battery life is also excellent I can use it for hours before needing to recharge. The design looks sleek and professional, and it connects seamlessly with my phone and the SumUp app. I’ve used other card readers before, but this one has been by far the smoothest experience. If you need a dependable, easy-to-use card reader for your business or side jobs, I highly recommend the SumUp Solo. It’s worth every penny!

Let me start out. I've been using square and I've been using a square terminal for 3 plus years. Their fees are a little ridiculous with square. So this year starting the first I wanted to switch companies. I saw a lot of good things on YouTube and different sources. That sum up was a pretty good car processing company with better fees. But when I got the item I log into my account the solo set it up. It had a wireless connection mobile data. I didn't have to connect it to my phone. They said that they have invoicing. It's only invoicing through a desktop on their website. That you're able to send payment links to your customers for payment. Soon after I signed up and you get approved I started using sum up. Come to find out I figured once your account got approved or something you would be able to send invoicing through the app or the device you can't and same goes for payment links. So one of my biggest thing is I have big rental car company accounts. I do windshield repair for a living and with that device or in the app you can't send invoices. Even on the terminal you can't. With square the processing fees are more but you get no headaches and I really don't want to switch back to square and I still use square for invoicing. I'm hoping they get their app and their stuff together. So the solo really sucks besides not be able to send invoices or payment links to my customers. The payment links is really a big deal to me too. Because I go to a lot of my clients i have thousands of clients that I work with and I a lot of times just go to their house or their work. Do the repair and send them a payment link through square boom they pay it. I don't have to see them. The repair is done. They're happy. I'm happy in and out. Same with invoicing. They have no invoicing only on desktop. And when you're a mobile business, do I want to run home and invoice and send that out on the desktop at night? No when I'm done at the end of the day I'm done. Everything is done mobile. Everything is online. My accountant takes care of all my stuff. I go do my job. I come home. Sum up has been somewhat of a disappointment. I do over $100,000 a year in processing and I do a lot of insurance as well. They pay me. What it comes down to is I'm returning this solo because it's garbage. Their company has the worst customer support I've ever dealt with. I have sent them numerous messages do their messaging system and if you go on their customer support to do chat it says unavailable. It doesn't matter what time of day, day or night unavailable. I like their fees that's it. And maybe they'll add those features in the future. I don't know. They say they are but it doesn't look like it. So in the meantime, using the solo when it does work, it works great. And when it doesn't, you're sitting in front of a customer for 2 to 5 minutes waiting for it to load and all of a sudden it'll say cannot process transaction. Please try again. How does that make you look in front of your customer?. So when you're buying this device, understand that it's garbage. They just didn't update and it's even more garbage. It's like a garbage dump. So I have returned this item now. Tomorrow it's going back. I did try and order their other device. I don't know it's not the greatest reviews but I'm going to give it a shot if I can save myself some money and processing fees and hoping this other device may work and if it doesn't I can always go back to square because I have a $300 square terminal sitting in my office that I can use. And as for the invoicing, they're losing money even though they say they have invoicing but it's on a desktop, it's not convenient for me and it's probably not convenient for many customers. And if you say you can send a payment link, you should send a payment link. This is a message to you sum up. If you're going to be a company provide quality customer service, get back to your customers. I am a five-star business. I am one of the best in my city out of 50 or 60 other glass shops. And I expect top notch service if I'm giving my money to them. And I guess I think if this next device don't work I'm going to go back to square because I know I'm getting a quality product and I know I'm getting continuous support and updates on my terminal. And something that works good. I hope this review is helpful to sum up and future people looking for a terminal in understand that if you get the device you still have to sign up and they have to approve you. It took me about 3 days. I did have to give them a little nudge and a reminder that they need to get this done before the first of the year for me which they did. But they really need to work on their customer service. You really need to take care of your customers. That's what's important in a business. Happy customers brings you more business brings you good reviews. Provide top notch service top notch customer service at a value and you will have a successful business. But if you don't put your time into it and work hard, you're going to get reviews like this. I hope you read this sum up. You're losing money
