Several of my favorite episodes are on this collection: "Jack vs. the Ninja" - Aku sends a ninja to try and kill Jack. This episode contains one of the show's most striking, and stylized sequences, as the two warriors engage in a battle of light and shadow, symbolized entirely by pure white and black. It's a scene that has to be watched just to be believed. "Samurai vs. Samurai" - Jack is challenged to a duel by a braggart claiming to be a samurai. This is probably one of the show's funniest episodes, just because of the hilarious voice-acting of "Da Samurai" (David Alan Grier) contrasting with Jack (Phil Lamarr)'s stoic and composed attitude. "Jack and the Flying Prince and Princess" - Jack comes to the rescue of an alien prince and princess. This episode is a must-watch for fans of Star Wars, as the story of the episode proudly wears its influence from George Lucas' space opera. "Jack vs. Aku" - Tired of the constant failure of his minions, Aku challenges Jack to a one-on-one fight. This might be my personal favorite Jack episode, because it is just one of the most entertaining and humorous of the entire show. Aku (Mako Iwamatsu) delivers a hilarious performance, as he orders a monster over the phone, JUST LIKE ordering a pizza; shouts his frustration at his minions' failures; and later delivers a spot-on summary of the standard plot of a Jack episode. Jack gives some great moments, too - if you haven't seen it, I don't want to spoil it, but the end of the fight between him and Aku turns into a game of one-upmanship that is absolutely priceless. Fantastic work all around. I strongly recommend this show to any fan of good animation. Review: Come for the action.... - Stay for the crab cakes! The fourth season of Samurai Jack is as good as the third season, which is as good as the second season, which was as good as first season. The humor, the tons of action, the thrills. Let us face the facts - the Samurai Jack series is one of the best cartoons to come out of an American studio for a very long time. And it will be missed. The artwork, the storytelling, the characters, the feel that it was made with lots of love and lots of intelligence. And what ever happened to Lulu? And can you remember all the lines taken from Star Wars? Also, don't forget the extras such as deleted scenes and a few features with Genndy. Even the Samurai Jack promos were cool to watch. Waiting for the promised movie!

Love the series, but not Warner Brothers
Samurai Jack was all the rage for several years, and I wholeheartedly agree. This was a fascinating story, buttressed by remarkable storytelling techniques, deliberately simplified character design, and interesting animation. Many reviewers have complained about the lack of closure in the series; there is a comic available that continues the stories, and as of Nov 2014 it is still ongoing and up to 17 releases. There have also been several video games. Tartakovsky has attempted to get a final movie into production for several years, but ongoing efforts have not yet produced a concrete production date. Here's hoping . . . I bought this set back in 2007, left it in the wrapper for a few months, and then found out that the second disk was defective. Warner Brothers customer "service" told me that I had not contacted them in a timely manner after the purchase, so they had no reason to provide a working replacement for the disk that was DOA out of the wrapper. I'll probably replace it eventually, but I'm still not happy with WB.

Great, but needed closure....
While there was no final outcome, and there should have been, to properly end this series, there were still some great episodes here. Samurai vs. Samurai was a funny episode in which Jack must deal with a crude rude upstart who has far more braggadocio than he does skill. The Scotsman again returns to discover Jack has run afoul of something nasty enough to wipe his mind and he takes an unwilling Jack on a journey to get his mind back in a wonderful two part episode that is something of a take off on "Star Wars". There is again plenty of "Star Wars"-like action where we hear what sounds like Jeff Daniels of C-3PO fame, taking on the role of Chitron-6, a robot belonging to a prince and princess on an urgent mission to save their world when they fall afoul of Aku. There is also a funny mano y mano fight between Aku and Jack as Jack forces him to fight on his level and a flash back story to a younger time while Jack trained in Africa. The very last, Jack and the baby, dealt with a baby held captive for dinner by trolls and his efforts to return him to his mother. While this season was good, it wasn't really finished, and I wished it could have been, because I'm sure it would have been spectacular.

Prompt, punctual and helpful.
Samurai Jack is the best. I had issues with disc 2 not playing (this seems to be a common issue with Samurai Jack S4). This was not the vendors fault and they were very helpful and prompt with the return/refund process. I was buying this to replace Samurai Jack S4 disc 2 that failed earlier. I think there must have been a manufacturing issue as I have seen multiple other complaints for this same issue.

Great stuff! For those who are Samurai Jack fans there is not much to say outside the fact after all these years Samurai Jack will finally get a proper ending. I realized I was lacking the volume 4 so I got it from a 3rd party seller. Took a while to get it but I am glad to have completed my 4 volumes collection.

Produit défectueux, illisible sur tous les lecteurs dvd que je possède, même un appareil dézoné, qui indique que le disque est souillé.

another great declination of the cartoon series, with themed episodes, good sountracks, but it all ends up with an episode as just another one and no grand finale in sight!? There, that's where the disappointment with the producers et al. lies.

Just like the previous 3 seasons. Jack brings a unique art style of Glendy T. with fantastic stories to boot. If you are a fan of his work, from Dexter's Lab to Hotel Transylvania then you have to watch Samurai Jack. Now if he would get to make the movie he wants to end the series.....

I'm beyond happy this product came out. I highly recommend this gem to those who have watched it and loved it and also to those who have not seen it and are interested.
