Sopranos: The Complete Series [Blu-ray] [Import]

It's a fantastic show, there's really not much to say about that. Great acting all around and very interesting characters and development throughout the show. In a sense it paved the way for shows like The Wire and it is a definite watch for any fans of Crime Dramas. The picture quality is a little flat in the first season which was a bit disappointing. Certain parts looked like they were in Standard Definition but it doesn't happen too often. The picture quality improves with the start of Season 2 and moving forward, so fortunately it's not that big of an issue. The sound quality is solid throughout which is great. I haven't seen the bonus features so i cannot comment on them yet; they do come in their own tiny blu ray case inside the box. The box itself is very sturdy and feels well made. There is a slipcover for the box with the exact same artwork but the artwork on the slipcover on the box is slightly holographic and the writing is textured. Also be warned the text description is not entirely accurate, for example, it describes a 16 page episode guide which only comes with the old DVD collection not this Blu Ray collection. I'd say this boxset is great value, there's almost 85 hours of content (excluding Bonus Features) which is a pretty solid deal in my opinion. I can't really recommend this show enough.

El audio y video están en la mejor calidad que se puede uno esperar. La calidad de la serie, para mí junto a The Wire; las 2 mejores series de Tv de la historia. En un era dónde tenemos todo al alcance de unos cuantos click's puede resultar embrolloso, poner un disco en el reproductor; sin embargo, lo veo como un artículo de colección indispensable para cualquier de la serie y el cine en general. Respecto a las especificaciones viene en varios idiomas (incluyendo español latino), con subtitulos no habrá problemas. Lo encontré con una gran rebaja, entonces, no dude en adquirirlo.

Gran serie. El empaque llego un poco maltratado, pero el producto en si es espectacular.

Not an HBO subscriber, I missed this series during its original run (though its impact on popular culture was impossible to escape). I bought this set as one of Amazon's Gold Deals of the Day and am delighted I did. Instead of its sitting on my shelf, unwatched, for months, I watched the pilot, was instantly hooked, and went through the entire series in a matter of weeks. Some episodes are so fine that I re-watched them almost instantly, usually listening to one of the many audio commentaries. The extra features are abundant, informative, and entertaining. The series, of course, brilliantly broke all the rules and paved the way for a grade of high-quality (i.e., non-network) television that, in spite of its speed in production, is superior to many movies. The stories are exceptionally well written; the directors knew how to use cameras to tell them; the acting was uniformly superlative. The only downside: some of the brand-new discs have playback problems, either because of shoddy manufacture or scratches from the crummy slip covers. Rest in peace, James Gandolfini: you hoisted this epic on your shoulders and carried it from first scene to last, infusing its lowlife lead with so much complex humanity that, in Terrible Tony, we could see something of ourselves.
