Bates Choice - Trim Paint Brush

Only used round brushes like this for hobbies, so was surprised to find a large one for general use. The shape reminds me of the brushes used by traditional Japanese writers. I much prefer this design over the typical sash brush. This allows you to get right into concave corners and it holds far more paint (I was using oil) than I imagined.

Ok here's my review on the Bates Trim brush It's great amazing I used this to paint the trim/edges of my canvas, 👏🏾😊 and can I just say it did a wonderful job I felt like I could get right up to the edge with this brush 🖌️ without touching the finished piece on top, not to mention with the shape of this brush I can perform a variety of strokes to my paintings. To sum up- this is a great tool to be add to my arsenal, I have found a new favorite brush brand in Bates Choice -aka The Best Choice.

The brush works well, holds its shape and is easy to clean. But the stiff bristles leave streaks and I needed two coats of paint to cover. Used semigloss on primed wood.

This brush is a game changer! I am currently repainting both my daughters bedrooms and dreaded taping to get a clean edge. This brush holds paint, doesn't drop or run. So easy to control! I did all the edging with in a couple hours. It was amazing and saved me the time and expense of painters tape.
