A very good lock
A neat lock which easily fits a cycling jersey pocket. The lock is small, light and easy to use. Excellent value and beautifully made.

Great lightweight lock for trains
I was torn how many stars to rate this. Based on the product alone I would give it five stars. Build quality is good and it works well. It is exactly what I needed - a very light lock to keep in my bag at all times, to lock my Brompton to luggage rack bars whenever I need to sit further down the train carriage. The build quality is perhaps not surprising since it is made by Abus, a very reputable brand. However, I am docking a star because it was an absolute nightmare figuring out how to set the combination. The instructions in the packaging were completely useless - after reading and re-reading but getting nowhere I nearly sent it back. Eventually, I pieced it together watching youtube videos (in German) of two slightly different but related locks also made by Abus. In case it helps anyone else, here is how to do it: 1. While on the currently set combination (i.e. 888 at the side when new) push the cable into it's storage hole (i.e. unlocked and fully retracted) until it sort of 'clicks'. By this I mean when retracted, you can push the cable end in a bit further than you expect. Apparently this activates some sort of button. 2. While holding the cable end pushed in to the retraction storage hole, i.e. in this slightly recessed position, set the desired combination. Note it is crucial to keep pushing on the cable end to keep it in this recessed position while you set the new combination. Let go. 3. Hold the side red button to pull the cable out. Let go of the red button and plug the cable end in, i.e. lock it. 4. Now the combination will be set. Press the side black button to unlock it.

Works perfectly
Works perfectly. We use it for school scooter locks where there is only a thin hole and it fits. Can be easily used by a 7 year old. The button allows you to increase and decrease the line. When it is locked you cannot shorten it which is good. We wrap it on the scooter handlebar when not in use as it is fairly light. Been using for a few months and still as good as new. Secure and good price.

Locked up
Great value lock, nice and lightweight to slip into pocket when out on bike and gives piece of mind when nipping into the cafe. Probably not the most secure bike lock out there but a great deterrent to stop someone walking off with your stuff.

Visibly secured.
Why did you choose this product over others?: It is light. Easy to use. Some obvious security when I am not looking at the bike. Security: A little security is better than none at all. Cable sufficiently long enough to go round wheel, frame and a lamp-post.

Good quality a little expensive but trusted brand
Good quality a little expensive but trusted brand. Bought for handy coffee shop stop lock. Very light weight neat compact for jersey pocket. Would not stop determined thief but prevents someone just walking off with your bike. The 900mm cable version may be more versatile for little extra weight. Overall a good choice.

Really useful lock for low security applications
Really useful lock, fits in the saddle bag so even though it won't stand up to much it makes me much more likely to take a lock and have peace of mind for running into shops, or locking up my bike at work in a secure area. Light enough that you wouldn't think twice about taking it. Plastic case doesn't feel the strongest but doesn't affect the security or function of the lock. Probably a bit expensive for what it is but a good product over all. Watch your fingers when retracting the cable!

Product not robust
This was a present for my wife has used a handful of times and now will not unlock. Obviously knowing the right combination.
