Best Molecule Set Hands Down
After our Chemistry Professor said we needed a molecule set for General Chemistry II and Organic Chemistry next year I decided to search for a molecule set online. I found the 140 piece set for approx 19.99 and the 180 piece set for 21.99. I thought for 40 pieces more the 21.99 set was a good deal. After emailing to confirm with my Professor, I purchased the product brought it to class and pulled it out to use. Soon I had other students asking where did I buy it as it was so helpful. I am sure I have sold close to a dozen of these because of my recommendation to fellow students. The best part is if your missing pieces or need to add certain molecules on you can go straight to the manufacture website and order directly (as a very reasons able cost) This set is very user friendly, easy to construct and deconstruct and well put together! Most defiantly worth the price.

Good set
Great set but a tad expensive. Perfect for organic chemistry beginner practice. I like that the connector pieces bend!! The case is helpful as well for travel.

Awesome Product. Awesome Service.
First off, I'll say that I am very happy with the speed of delivery of the product. It arrived a day earlier than the earliest delivery date! :D Now, I'll comparing this product to the Molymod Organic Student Set. I'll be using greater/less than signs to represent MY preference to the products. Pieces: Mega Molecules > Molymod So in terms of how the pieces look, I'll give it to Molymod as the big round glossy "atoms" are really pretty to me. As for size, if you can't tell, the Molymod pieces are larger than this one. I've seen reviews from others who say that this set is too small, but that's probably because they have big hands. I'm pretty small myself (5' 3'') so this set was a good match for me. Plus, since I get to use model kits during tests, I'd rather have this one because it's easier to hide from people due to it's smaller size. Assemblage: Mega Molecules >> Molymod By far I had an easier time assembling the pieces with this set. All the little "bonds" and "atoms" slip into and out of each other nicely, and it's very easy to rotate the bonds. On the other hand,I had an extremely difficult time piecing together and taking apart the pieces of the Molymod kit, to the extent of breaking my nails (which are already moderately short), even with help the Link Remover Tool. I was even afraid of breaking the tool itself. A lot of times the "atoms" couldn't fit all the way into the "bond" as well. I guess the only satisfying thing about the Molymod kit was the little "pop" sound every time I could successfully take apart a bond without hurting myself. Container: Mega Molecules > Molymod The Mega Molecules container is smaller than the Molymod one by 2" in width and 1" in length (both are the same height). The lid is also attached to the container, unlike the Molymod one which is two separate pieces. I like the smaller, more compact size better because it's easier to deal with when I'm in class using this during a test. Look: Mega Molecules < Molymod I have to admit, I was initially sold on the Molymod set because I thought it looked prettier, but then again I had to remember that I need the set to help me pass the class, not to just be put on display. Overall, I prefer this Mega Molecules set. It's awesome.

Excellent product
Now I can illustrate and understand my chemical structures.

My Class Enjoyed It
This is a wonderful set that has everything I needed to teach intro (inorganic) chemistry. The pieces are easy to use, and there are three different connectors for double/triple bonds, bonds to hydrogen, and all other covalent bonds. The book comes with a few fun examples of molecules. I gave each of the students in my (small) class a molecule to make, and we went around to take a look; they enjoyed it. I didn't use it terribly much in intro to chem because geometry didn't come into play much, and we didn't talk about free rotation around single bonds, etc.

Hands down best kit for Organic Chemistry
The black carbon-carbon bonds are sturdy and resist bending so that rings are forced into chair positions; SUPER nice for O-Chem. Comes with plenty of odds and ends and was entirely sufficient for my chem class. While the molecules may be smaller than the other kits this actually helps the bonds and overall structure stand out which is what you're really focused on anyway. Other students in my class who had the jumbo carbon balls attached to flimsy sticks were regretting it.

Ok, I expected more variety of coordinate centers.
I was really hoping for some other coordinate centers instead of a huge amount of only tetrahedral centers.

Not worth it
It works but it’s not worth the price. It should be around $10 for students
