Super tasty sardines my dogs and I give them 5 stars! Not too salty, very yummy!
I bought these sardines for my two dogs. It's so funny to me I can't write this without laughing! I was having a slow a.m. one day and they were impatient, I knew they liked tuna so I grabbed a can thinking this will give me more time to get my routine going. I opened the can and I guess they love that smell, both started wagging, doing that dance dogs do when they are excited, they shared a can at 5 a.m. that gave me a few hours until I prepared the big meal they eat. Now they get sardines a few times a week, they love it and I do too! This brand is very tasty and I did not eat sardines but now, I do! A very athletic friend of mine who rides 25 miles most mornings told me he eats sardines for breakfast, I said to myself, no way, I will never do that! One a.m. when I was hardly awake and drinking coffee, feeding the dogs...yup, I ate a few and to my surprise, my friend was right, I had lots of energy almost immediately like I needed it. I did a 5 day a.m. sardine challenge my friend asked me to do, it changed my life completely. I now know I need healthy a.m. protein every day, not later, right away. It balances blood sugar and stops the ups and downs and the late afternoon energy crash. I do not eat sardines every a.m. but if I'm feeling low on energy, it is the answer. I am open to change and this little 5-day challenge was what I needed. These are great sardines! Don't throw the juice or oil away, it's so good for you and your doggies too!

Love these sardines. Great taste and value. Love how there is no order minimum!

Average sardines for old taste and budget.
Taste is okay, but not something special, sometimes you need just plain sardine taste without EVO oil, that's it. I prefer sardines with olive oil or in Mediterranean style, sorry.

Perfect for my dogs raw diet
I started incorporating Bumble Bee sardines into my Labradoodles’ raw diet, and they’ve quickly become a staple in our rotation. The quality has been consistent and the sardines are whole, meaty, and not overly broken up in the can. I always choose the variety packed in water with no added salt to keep things as clean as possible for my dog!

Good budget sardines, but very strong fishy flavor
These Bumble Bee Sardines in Oil are a mixed experience for me, landing solidly at 3 out of 5 stars. They offer good value and decent quality for the price, but the flavor profile is much stronger than I personally prefer. Value for money: From a cost standpoint, these are hard to beat. The multi-pack offers a lot of protein and calories per dollar, making them a practical option for pantry storage, emergency food, or anyone trying to eat economically. For the price, the quantity and consistency are reasonable. Size: The sardines are relatively small but fairly uniform across cans. Each tin is adequately filled, and I didn’t encounter any that felt under-packed. If you’re used to larger or premium sardines, these may feel modest in size, but they’re acceptable for this price tier. Quality: The fish appear intact and not overly broken apart, which I appreciated. The texture is soft and fully cooked, leaning toward tender rather than firm. While not gourmet-quality, they meet expectations for a mass-market canned sardine. Oiliness: Packed in oil, these sardines are quite oily. The oil does help keep the fish moist, but it also intensifies the overall flavor. You may want to drain them well or pair them with crackers, rice, or acidic ingredients to balance that richness. Smell: The smell is noticeably strong immediately upon opening the can. It’s a classic canned sardine aroma, but more pronounced than some other brands I’ve tried. If you’re sensitive to fish smells, this is something to be aware of. Skinless: Although labeled as skinless, there are occasional bits that feel like residual skin or connective tissue. It’s not excessive, but it’s not perfectly clean either. This didn’t ruin the experience, but it’s worth mentioning for those who prefer completely skin-free sardines. Taste: This is the main reason for the 3-star rating. The flavor is very fishy, even by sardine standards. While some people may enjoy that bold taste, it was a bit overpowering for me. I found them better when mixed into dishes rather than eaten straight. Overall: These sardines are good for the price and functional as a basic canned fish option, but they’re not something I’d reach for if flavor is the top priority. If you like strong, traditional sardine flavor and want an affordable option, these may work well for you. For those who prefer a milder or cleaner taste, you may want to look at higher-end brands.

Hot sauce
Sardines in hot sauce with crackers are a favorite for many because they combine the heavy-hitting nutrients of the fish with the metabolic "kick" of chili peppers. Here are the specific benefits of this spicy combination: 1. The "Capsaicin" Kick (Hot Sauce Benefits) The "heat" in hot sauce comes from capsaicin, a compound found in chili peppers that offers several unique perks: • Metabolic Boost: Capsaicin can slightly increase your metabolic rate and enhance fat burning (thermogenesis) for a short period after eating. • Appetite Control: Spicy foods are known to increase feelings of fullness (satiety), which, combined with the high protein in sardines, makes this a very effective weight-management snack. • Endorphin Release: The "burn" from hot sauce triggers the brain to release endorphins and dopamine, often providing a natural mood lift. 2. Superior Heart and Brain Support Sardines are an elite source of Omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA). • Inflammation: Both Omega-3s and the antioxidants in hot sauce (like Vitamin C and carotenoids) work together to reduce systemic inflammation. • Cholesterol: Regular consumption helps lower triglycerides and raises "good" HDL cholesterol. satiety: easy to open smell loud fishy can dent resistance
