NF-P12 redux-1300

I purchased 2 x Noctua NF-P12 redux-1300, Quiet Fan, 3-Pin, 1300 RPM (120mm, Grey) to replace the built in fans in a Synology DS1819+ NAS. Synology always seem to use Y.S. Tech fans in their NAS devices and in my experience they aren't the quietest fans and are quite loud at high RPM. I've used Noctua fans for years now and they are my go-to brand for any kind of PC fan. Their build quality, warranty and performance is excellent although they can be on the pricey side. Unlike some of their other products you don't get any accessories such as extension cables or low noise adapters in the box - all you get is the fan itself and 4 mounting screws. Fitting these fans was really simple on the DS1819+ and it's made a noticeable difference to the noise of the device without affecting the cooling performance. The cables are quite a bit longer than the ones supplied with the NAS but there's plenty of space to tuck them away inside the chassis. Be aware that some fans are not properly detected by Synology devices and can stop turning and causing the alarm to go off, but these seem to be fine and I've have no issues. Pros: - Decent build quality - Quiet - 6 year warranty - Not the usual Noctua beige/brown colour Cons: - No freebie accessories in the box (low noise adapters, extension cables etc.)

Having bought cheap versions, which have been noisy, and in one case annoyingly rub on its own case, which needed to be sanded down, this one was lovely straight out of the box.

After, connected as, a exhust fan. Shifts a lot of air. Well made. Definitely the budget end, of noctua fans. Definitely worth, considering pwm fan. As this fan, is only, 3 pin, 900 rpm fan.

At first you may think they’re not as cheap as other fans out there, but believe me, these are well made, give very good airflow and are very quiet. I would recommend to all.

Great product, great seller

As usual with Noctua the speed vs noise vs air movement is excellent. My old CCTV 40mm fan was inefficient, noisy and not up to the task. I cut out a large hole, 3D printed a grill and voila fantastic cooling at a low noise level. Very pleased. This fan is the basic version, with no rubber corner mounts or adapter leads. Just the fan with a 3 lead plug and a set of 4 mounting screws all I needed so the price was good too.

Bought this to provide some additional cooling on my gaming PC, which was running a bit hot. I've installed it in the top of the case as an additional exhaust fan and it has reduced temperatures by a few C. It runs nice and quiet and is clearly drawing warm air out of the case.

Diesmal für den unbelüfteten Speicherschacht eines ACEMAGIC-S3A mit R7-6800H. Temperaturen dort im Betrieb unter Last bis über 80°, sowohl für den DDR5 Speicher (2x24GB mit T-Sensor)), als auch die beiden 4+2TB NVMe. Im Leerlauf 60° im Schacht. Mit dem über USB-Adapter (5V) angeschlossenem Lüfter jeweils um min. 20° niedriger. Mit 5V springt der Lüfter ohne Probleme an, keine Überlastung des Ports und bei geringer Drehzahl unhörbar. Befestigt mit doppelseitigem Nano-Klebeband an den Lüfter-Ecken und PC-Gehäuse. Für mich - beste Lüfter auf dem Markt.

Certainly quieter than the original for my Nepton 240M though much lower RPM. That makes sense and the slower RPM has made almost no difference to temps on the 4790K @ 4.6 Ghz processor temps. Always Noctua quality at good value price for a pair at $au 50 for the pair.

As it says, it’s quiet and seems relaible..

Justamente lo que necesitaba, un ventilador que hiciera el trabajo de sacar el aire del gabinete con el minimo de ruido, muy eficiente y practicamente nada de ruido aun a alta velocidad (a la maxima si se escucha algo, pero es esperado)
