FIFA 10: Re-defined, not re-designed!
Its becoming harder and harder for EA to improve the FIFA series since theirs only so much you can add. And now that they've thankfully stopped adding silly new features which used to sell the product (remember 'Off The Ball Control'?...), they've found the time to make an already great game more realistic through simple improvements - not massive additions. The most immediate of these is the brand new 360-degree player control which adds a whole new dimension to the game which, I must confess previously, didn't trust the hype. What makes this 360 movement unique for the simulation is that the computer players can now move about in any single direction they like. For over a decade, those mindless CPU players seem to have been stuck on a grid of Left, Right, Up, Down. Its now a thing of the past! Controlling your own players with the 360 movement does indeed take some time to get used to - not for the fact its difficult, but so you can achieve the best out of the new control. This addition under-pins plenty of others. With 360 control comes a whole host of new animations for Jostling (when being shoulder barged), for controlling the ball, which the FIFA players now seem comfortable to control on any part of their body, whereas in previous games I've noticed players don't like heading balls down or using their thighs. Running animations have been spectacularly improved to a degree were each player as a unique way of striding - also noticeably the way in which players intercept the ball, where they can stretch out and control the ball with the outside of their feet, perfect for wingers. The goalkeepers too benefit new animations from the 360 movement, and look less like robots and more like athletic... Well, men! With all this though comes the challenge element of gameplay, which has been vastly raised as a benchmark. Stepping into the game on Professional difficulty was surprisingly too much even as an avid player, and I was required to go back to basics with Amateur mode. This isn't a flaw - its an improvement, as the gameplay has so much variety that you will be back on your feet jumping when you do score that winning goal. And with better ball physics and more realistic shot movement, your goals look spectacular, average or plain jammy! Manager Mode has a cleaner interface with an apparent improved transfers foundation, which may be the case as Wigan no longer offer me £35 million for Wayne Rooney. Tactics remain the same, though their is the option to manage your set-pieces which, although is nice, doesn't offer too much effect unless you really plan it well anyway during gameplay. Finance is a lot more realistic, and you'll be encouraged to spend wiser which was definitely needed. Theirs a whole host of options carried on from FIFA 09, some of which have been greatly improved, but I'd like to think that just nit-picking at the above is in-definitely enough a reason to buy this game. EA have made the right choice of going to the community and asking for what we want; not telling us what were going to have. For this reason, FIFA 10 feels more dramatic and realistic then any title before it and I advise you to get it... Now!

How Do EA Keep Making FIFA Better?!
I was a Pro Evo fan for a lot of years, but for the past 5 years I have turned to FIFA. I have always found in the last few years Pro Evo is so unrealistic in everything and too easy, where FIFA seems to just keep improving and getting better each year. This year is no exception with FIFA 10. I have been reading all the reviews on here saying how great the game is, and singing it's praises and did think to myself it will just be the loyal fans been positive about a game they love. I took all the reviews with a pinch of salt until I got the game myself. Well all I can say is the game is BRILLIANT! I loved FIFA 09 and have been playing it daily until this release. The one thing I have noticed a huge improvement on is the realism of the game. The ball moves and bounces in a way where it won't just fall at your feet, and you have to be much more accurate with headers and passes to your players. I don't play the game for it to be easy, I play it for the realism and FIFA 10 has done something I didn't think was possible. I am enjoying the game more than any of the past titles. I just can't believe they manage to make this game better. The players are much more realistic too, with the jostling for the ball a great feature which has improved since 09. A small player will easily be overpowered by a much larger defender. Players can also now take on defenders much easily than before, and the players move in a better way. Your players will also tire more easily too, so a huge sprint will cause your player to slow much quicker than with 09. People moan about FIFA and having to pass etc, which I don't understand. That is part of the game of football, find space pass, find space pass and progress up the field. It is part of the game I enjoy cos it is like REAL LIFE! The commentary is amazing as ever. Even make reference to the referree getting in the way of the ball and annoying the players! Genius. The amount of times the ref has deflected the ball to me! He's my 12th man! Corners are difficult compared to 09, and am trying to get my head around them at the moment. I am currently going through Manager Mode which has greatly improved too, with it harder to get the Boards respect and harder to sign players. Again vast improvement on real life football. I am loving the Assistant Manager who rotates your squad for you, so will play a weaker side against a weaker team. Gives you a chance to play with all your available players at some point. I have not gone near Online Play yet, as frustrates me with all the Quitters along with the gamers who only pick Boring Barca, Man U, Chelsea or the most popular team I bet this year, Real Madrid who just use Ronaldo to run the ball into the net!-)Look out for me when I do go Online as West_Yorks_Guy I can't wait to get back to this game, full marks to EA who clearly have put a lot of work into FIFA 10. The gap between FIFA & Pro Evo just keeps getting bigger each year now. Managed to bag this game from Amazon at half price so even happier. Like may on here have said, if you enjoyed FIFA 09 you will LOVE FIFA 10. Another fun year of FIFA awaits. Who knows what FIFA will do to improve on the next game. Ability to dive or scrap with other players maybe?

best ps3 football game
To start 1st game i got jumped like a broken record but amazon replaced it with one that works perfect, many sites wouldnt do that so credit where its due! I did receive an email from amazon giving info to reset ports, settings etc apparently theres a fault in certain parts of the game (EA's fault not amazon), my favourite part is 'be a pro' where u create a professional from scratch and play as him over 4 seasons, club + international level. Fifa9 was great, u enter your own name+ when u get the ball the commentator says your surname. My name is Sam Todd but in fifa10 martin tyler shouts Andy Todd every time, phoned EA they were puzzled with no solution! Dont misunderstand, ive pointed out faults but i would definately still buy fifa10 as it is enjoyable to play, my kids love it! lol

1step back and 2 steps forward
Similar to my comments on fifa 09 in terms of addictive but suffers many little flaws. When playing fifa 10 straight away I saw the improvements from the previous instalment. Many flaws in fifa 09 have been addressed. However, they still managed to make new errors in the game which lets it down a little. Here are the pros and cons: Gameplay Pros/improvements from 09 360 controls make great free flowing movement More power in shots Free kicks easier to score Adidas live mode, even though you have to pay for it, it is great that you can play the whole Pl season with your favourite club and comparing the results to real life results. Not so easy to score which means you have to work a bit harder to score Updated Transfers, kits and stadiums are downloadable Cons Keepers are poor at one on ones. For some reason they always come out slow and get beaten by the chip/lob every time and react slow even when the ball is next to them. Opponents free kicks. I have more chance on saving a penalty then a free kick as 9/10 free kicks below 30yards will always go in. Players lack individuality Collision system is better than 09 but still doesn't work properly Computer can become insanely hard to score pass when losing but that could be either a pro or a con depending on you. Computer can be a push over when you are winning by at least 2 goals Ref gets in the way of play quite often Sometimes players don't respond to simple passes and on a rare time they do freeze for a few seconds. Players need to let the ball go out for goal kick instead of knocking it out for a corner 8.5 Online People still disconnect when losing. Fifa need to put an auto win in the game instead. Still slow as it takes 1 or two seconds for the player to pass Manager mode Better simulated match results as my league had the top 4 in the top 4 I've only played 3 seasons on manager mode and have not cam across the bugs lots of people are having yet. However, the players form system is terrible as almost all the time they are off form. Friendlies feel pointless especially when u can only use 3 subs out of 7 when it should be 7 out of 12. Also there is too many friendly's too. Some players won't come to your club and won't put a reason for why they won't go. Virtual pro and ultimate team I don't play them Graphics, Presentation and sound To the top standards of all fifa football games although graphics could still be improved 9.5 Overall it is a very good footy game and it provides the fans with many improvements from the last. However, I am also convinced the developers keep adding new flaws to the game so that we keep buying their games every year. I also wished they bring back the team chemistry but make it more effective as I believe teams like real Madrid struggle against lower rated teams despite their 5 star rating.

Great buy
I bought this as a birthday gift for my yonger brother (well by younger i mean 24!) so i'm not able to tell you exactly how i feel about the game but i did speak to him to ask him how he enjoyed it and i was told that, the graphics are really good and it's a really enjoyable play. So with that, and the fact that my husband now wants it i would say great buy go get it!!!! Oh, and if you do your research (like i did) you will find that Amazon is the cheapest for price, and with free delivery as well you can't go wrong

A classic to all football fans.
When I bought this game, Cristiano Ronaldo had left Man United to join Real Madrid. I spent so many hours playing this game. I found it a few days ago in my attic when cleaning. It brings great memories.

What a great improvement from FIFA 09
FIFA 09 was already top quality, but FIFA 10 came in and made it even better. The passing, players faces, online services, everything has been improved. FIFA 10 feels like a real football simulator. FIFA 11 is definitely better but FIFA 10 does perfectly fine. However, despite Paul D. "review" he's trolling on all FIFA games.
