Good little kits
Used this with groups in my class for a renewable energy week. The children are 6 and 7 so needed adult support to use it but end product was good. Led was broken before it got used which was annoying and the instruction booklet was deadly when it came to papercuts but apart from that it was a good purchase for the kids

A lot of parts not provided but required.
Several of the experiments require parts that are not provided and some constructions fall apart right away.

be warned water wheel is very poor design and quality
this set should be great for the money sadly i was very sad to see that the water wheel is so flimsy and badly made it ruins the set the water wheel is very very thin clear flexible plastic its not rigid and is clear it looks nothing like a water wheel, the cogs and gears that make up the rest of the set are fine good quality but the main part the water wheel is really bad as a result i think this set is expensive and my 10 year old son is disappointent whith the water wheel which is the main part, its a shame the water wheel is so bad however goods where delivered on time in good condition

Disapointed
We bought this for our 12 year old grand daughter for christmas who is interested in science, on christmas day we set about putting together one of the projects it was very disapointing for myself as the grand father for having her such a poor qualiy present, and for her on such sn important day trying to put something together with poor quality parts.

We did these model experiments with our kids as we're building a full size version at our home this spring - the model even gave us some great ideas for our version!

This kit is wonderful! I have purchased a couple of hydropower science kits, and this one is my favourite. Pieces are sturdy, and the manual is easy to follow. My Grade 2 daughter loved putting this kit together for a Water Fair at her school here on Salt Spring Island. I especially like that the larger water wheel example teaches gear ratio principles.

J’ai utilise ce jeux pour illustrer à des collégiens le concept d’une turbine hydroélectrique et ça a super bien marché! bonne qualité et super concept, je le recommande. Je l’ai reçu très rapidement.

I bought 2 Thames & Kosmos Science kits for a bright 8 year old nephew whose into Science; he was very excited to receive them. I never followed up to ask details about the quality and usage, but friends have said that Thames & Kosmos kits are the better ones of the choices out there.
