Shock Doctor Shoulder Support

This item was delivered before the date we expected which was great. My youngest son had broken his collar bone in a school rugby match. 6 weeks after the break to the day, my son nagged me to play again before the end of the school term. This support allowed him to do this, and give me a little peace of mind. We managed to get to the end of term now without any further breaks. Thank you

My Gf saw this and ordered it for my shoulder as added support and stability ... its worthless rubbish. You get support across the chest but absolutely NOTHING for the shoulder,no way to pull in the arm to the chest and no way to give any kind of shoulder support,it just sits there loose and pointless,this product should be .. MUST be withdrawn,its a con for sure. A waste of money,One of the worst items i have ever purchased. Perfect for people who want to play gladiators. DO NOT BUY !!!.

I have a rotor cuff injury that after a failed operation a couple of years ago, looks like I'm stuck with now. this means if If my arms above my head or behind me, the slightest knock will pop the shoulder. I've been making do with a cheapo standard neoprene support for ages, but finally decided i'd splash out and buy something a little more comfortable and supporting. but I am just massively disappointed with this. Don't get me wrong its not all bad, the quality is exceptional, its extremely comfortable and breathable, and it looks great, unfortunately the one small detail that lets it down is the fact that it offers NO SUPPORT WHAT SO EVER! literally nothing, you'd be better off with a tight fitting shirt. For a start the fitment is all wrong, even for a product with this much adjustment, I couldn't get it to fit tightly. I'm a man 6ft tall, and of average athletic build, so to all extents and purposes pretty standard, I bought the small/medium size, and its massive. I can just about get away with it fully adjusted, but by this time the straps are so far round my back i'm risking injury just trying to put it on, clearly these are designed for the morbidly obese or gym obsessed, with arms like tree trunks. Once its on and tight enough it still offers no support where you actually need it, its nice and snug round the chest and on the bicep and very comfortable to wear, but the actual shoulder is barely covered, its basically just bondage wear. Seriously just look at the picture again, there's nothing underneath the arm pit at all, which essentially just makes this a shoulder pad, if it wasn't for the bicep strap holding it to your arm, this would just be a flap. That "X" strap rubbish is just a joke too, again, just look at it and think, what is it actually doing? it doesn't go all the way around, it's just an additional bit of padding, You can move it around and "tighten" it all you like, but it's not actually ever going to do anything. I used this once and popped my shoulder almost immediately, All this thing did was make it harder to get it back in place, making me look like something out of 'the exorcist' writhing around on the floor all contorted and making stupid noises whilst I try to remove the strap before i can get my arm back in. This is a great product if you've got money to burn and wanna look like a pro down the gym, and maybe if you wan to keep just a single shoulder dry in the rain, I so badly wanted this to work, but if you've got an actual injury the fact is this isn't going to help you, which is why mines going on e-bay. Its also worth mentioning the reason i'm not returning it, is because amazon recently charged me £7 to return an 80gram bracelet costing £14. I didn't fancy paying probably £20 to return a shoulder support!

It does the job just fine

If you have shoulder issues don't bother with this. it's poorly designed and not strong enough to support the weight of your arm without pulling off the shoulder. To get any measure of supper buckles the fabric badly. There are better, cheaper products on the market.

I've used several Shock Doctor products in the past and they've been brilliant (particularly the 875 Knee and 851 Ankle supports)… but this simply didn't work for me. It offered little-to-no support for my shoulder. It's also very difficult to set up without help (which I had) but no matter how much we adjusted/relocated the Velcro straps, only the chest and bicep straps offered any form of fit and had no impact or influence on the adjoining shoulder supporting cup. If I didn't know better, I'd have assumed there was a piece missing but having examined the instructions and pictures on their website, it was all there. In the end, I gave up... thoroughly disappointed. On the plus side, it seemed as well made as their other products I use so I'll award it a star for that... but ultimately - as a shoulder support for me - it was useless. I returned it for a refund.
