Very sharpe, double sided corse and fine. Removes material in quick time. Well worth the money.

Great hand tool.
This is superb with two faces fine and coarse teeth. Non clog open mesh of teeth. Better than a surform or a rasp for jobs like broom handle fitting

Excellent tool
Never tried one of these before, but I'm impressed. Works so much better than a file. Easy to grind off and roughly shape the wood. The smoother side gets it a bit flatter, then finish off with a file and/or sandpaper. Also, it doesn't get clogged up like a file/rasp, as it has the gaps for all the bits to fall through.

Easy to use
What a great tool. Perfect for roughing out and also rounding gently

Watch out, it's very sharp.
Typical of the Japanese style of wood working tools, it's very sharp. It's constructed like several sharp hacksaw blades welded together to form a very flat and rigid assembly. One side a little more coarse than the other. Beats your typical old fashioned rasp file.
