This is a really useful manual for those starting out with pattern making. Unfortunately it doesn't contain instructions for drafting pattern blocks to individual measurements, and the three generic block sizes included are on the smaller side, so if you're looking for a resource to help create personalised block patterns that reduce the trial and error of fitting from standardised measurements, this isn't that book.

This book is very comprehensive with lots of easy to use diagrams which I am sure I will find useful in the future. I however bought it as it said in the description above that it covered trousers for which I specifically wanted but the only mention of trousers is about 3 lines describing the order they should be constructed so I am very disappointed and feel I have been really misled. I have given it 5 stars because the content that is there is excellent but if you are hoping for trousers making patterns you to will be disappointed.

These two books appear to be in a series but are in fact the same book. This is not made clear at point of purchase.
