ZONE3 Active Buoyancy Shorts Swim Trunks

Great swim trunks, they look good and feel great on.

Comfortable and effective, need to be tied secure but a great purchase for those with sinky legs.

It says if you are in between sizes then go up but I'd say go down as over time they stretch. I feel bad giving these a bad review as initially they were brilliant and probably increased my speed by 5% but they have relaxed somewhat and they are now baggy. You really have to crank down the waist otherwise after a strong push off water gets in via the waist and fills up the shorts. Other than this stretch issue they are well built and should last but I've bought the 5mm premium ones now in a size down to see how they fair in the water. I emailed Zone 3 customer service with regard to the issue but no response thus far.

Better result than expected.

The size large buoyancy shorts by Zone3 are made in PRC (china). The shorts are made from a 90% neoprene and 10% nylon material. The size large fit me tighter than a similar large Xterra short. The shorts are comfortable and stretch well. I do like the drawstring, as it fits in the right spot and I needed it because the waistband is a bit stretchy and moves around unless properly tight on me. I did not locate any flaws with the shorts out of the bag and after the first handwash. The backside material is a bit thinner than the front material, so it's best not to sit on anything other than a towel with these shorts. So far so good on these shorts with me. 4 stars
