Pretty much exactly as described. The biggest advantages for me is that it’s so easy to pick up and remove from fabric and carpet, and it doesn’t stain. Compared to Play-Doh this is quite hard to manipulate, And it takes a bit of moving to get it flexible. We found it worked best as a sensory activity rather than a crafting activity. Once out of the packet, there’s nowhere to store it, which is a bit of a downside. Although, it does not dry out so doesn’t really need to be in a tub. You do get a lot of the fame in the box and you can make small items out of the foam, but they are really wobbly. For example, my son and I made a hammer, but it would bend if you picked up. I like most about this is it has longevity and I don’t have to panic about getting a mat out every time my son wants to play with it.

We have had a bit of Learning Resources' 'Playfoam' before, so we know that it is fun stuff. It is not quite like anything else. Most comparable would be something like PlayDoh, but it is not as sticky or as stretchy. Instead, it is made from thousands of micro foam beads that stick to one another that becomes a homogonous whole. You can shape it, but you don't quite have the freedom of a dough. What you do have is less mess, although we do find the beads around the place. This pack is a starter pack of 6 blocks of foam. You would not need any more than this for the average household and it would probably work for a classroom. The colours don't bleed into one another like PlayDoh, but you will find that separating all the beads will be impossible and forever there will be some blue in the orange etc. At least they don't all go brown. As an alternative to plasticine types, 'Playfoam' is a great, cleaner alternative. This set will keep kids busy for weeks and you may never need to buy any more.

This set of play foam is really good. Unlike the clay, it does not harden or dry out. It feels really strange at first because of all the little beads in it. But it is pretty addictive! I have got this for when the grandkids come over but they will have to get it off me first because I don’t want to put it down. There are 6 colours and they are decent sized blocks of each colour. They don’t leave a mess and I think they are reasonably priced as a fidget and sensory toy.

I ordered this for my 3 year old granddaughter. She has similar at home and so I definitely know it doesn’t make a mess or leave sticky residue over the furniture, as it’s passed the mum test and made it over their threshold! I have to say it’s a strange mixture, reminds me of rice cakes. The colours are very bright and so far she’s used them individually to create, but once they’re mixed, I’d imagine they’re going to look a lot less appealing. I’m happy for her to use them on my table, the colours don’t stain and no need for a covering, though I’m yet to not use a cover…old habits etc. Good price, good fun to keep entertained and reusable.

My little girl who is eight years old loves to play with different textures slime and this play foam it's like a slime but less sticky and more enjoyable. The playform kit comes in a back of six colors all nice and bright, fun to play shaping and stretching, good quality and nice sensory experience. Great for the craft box, excellent for a little activity on a rainy day in the afternoon!

This stuff is great, our little one loves it. It like a modern version of Playdough without the mess. Forever squishy no matter what and no residue on hands so thats fantastic. I don't feel our little one needs to be 3+ to get the benefits of it, so happy to supervise with it - so much so we both had great fun.

I have SEN kids and I am so done with the play doh mess in my house so I was really looking forward to this as an alternative. I've never used foam before so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was hoping it would be soft and manipulative like playdoh but unfortunately it's quite stiff. My kids enjoyed playing with it initially but eventually gave up on it as it was just too stiff for their liking. I'm not sure whether this is how the texture supposed to be or whether it could be any softer. My kids would definitely prefer something softer.
