Game Changer for using with Multiple Devices
I wanted to give this keyboard more than a month of testing before writing a review (so about 6 months in so far). I was looking for a keyboard layout compatible with Mac, PC, iPad and Android, and specifically similar to Mac's keyboard layout. Especially with how often I use the cmd and ctrl buttons for my line of work. It was always slowing down my workflow. Not anymore! The convenient switching between them via bluetooth is a huge game changer. The auto-detect is essential. As far as initial impressions go, I was impressed with the build quality. Feels just right with the right amount of weight. The typing experience is solid. It's reliable, comfortable, and perfect for my exact needs. Based on my first usage, on a 9-5 work week, it lasted a month on its charge. The fewer times I used it, lasted several months before requiring a second charge. Still waiting to charge it a third time as I continue to use it once a week. I'm sure the battery is expected to degrade with age, but I've been very satisfied with the quality of this keyboard. My only complaint is that I keep accidentally locking my Mac when I overshoot hitting the Delete button. lol! Still, this should not be overlooked!

Great Magic Keyboard alternative with easy switching between 3 devices
This is a great keyboard. I am using it on Apple products (a Macbook Pro, a MacBook Air, an iPad, and an iPhone) and haven't had any problems connecting with each of the devices or switching between devices. I haven't had the keyboard long enough to rate the battery life, but I will check back in when I do have to change batteries to give an update. The keys are satisfying to type on and I feel right at home with the configuration being nearly identical to any of my devices built in keyboards or the Mac Magic Keyboard. I think this keyboard has many advantages to the user who wants to own and use a Magic Keyboard but doesn't want to shell out the $99 for one. I use one at work, and I like it well enough, but for when I work at home, this keyboard actually has more features that I find useful than the Magic Keyboard. 1. I can switch between devices quickly after I set them up with (command+1, command+2, or command+3), which makes switching between my two Macbooks a breeze. 2. It takes maybe a second to unpair and repair to the newly selected device. This is a fantastic feature that is not included on the Magic Keyboard. 3. Being pensive about buying a non-mac keyboard, a lot of other keyboards reviews on Amazon talk about lag between the keyboard and the computer, but there isn't any more lag on this than the Magic Keyboard, which is to say there isn't any lag that I can perceive. When you press a key, it registers on the screen immediately, even in a flurry of keystrokes. 4. There is an on/off button on the side, but I haven't been using that, instead opting for the keyboard to shut itself off when it is no longer being used. It does so, and I will report back on the battery life at a later date, as I said above. When I come back to the keyboard when it is off, I just press a key and within about 3 seconds I am up and running on the last device it was paired with. Overall, I am very impressed with this keyboard's price, features, and usability. I am glad I didn't shell out $99 for an official Magic Keyboard from Apple, at least at this point. On a side note, I bought the 4 year extended warranty for a $1 and change just to cover my investment, so I will also report back if anything breaks or dies on the keyboard, but I don't see that happening. Bottom line, a great keyboard with easy device switching at a great prize with zero lag. I would definitely recommend this keyboard to anyone using a Mac and not wanting to pay full price for an official Apple keyboard.

Great product
Instructions for bluetooth connecting are a bit complicated but the functioning, size, and feel of this keyboard are excellent!

Great keyboard.
Really like this keyboard. It is small and fits in my travel case, comfortable to use, sleek and works great with my Mac. I also like the fact that it connects flawlessly.

The new version has "upgrades" that result in a worse product
I have bought multiple of the previous version. I love this keyboard because it's the exact same size and layout of a MacBook Pro 13" keyboard. I like that I don't need to "code switch" between keyboard layouts. They're great until they get destroyed in the various ways a keyboard can be destroyed when it's used 10 hours a day. I happily purchased a new one. Amazon automatically redirected me to this "new version". And it's different in ways that I really don't like. The layout is mostly the same but they've reversed the function and control buttons—a frustrating divergence from the Mac Laptop keyboard. The keyboard pitch is different and not customizable. The board now rests on a bump of built-in rechargeable batteries instead of customizable plastic risers like the previous version had. And it's rechargeable, which just adds cost, reduces flexibility, and reduces repairability while supposedly providing a more premium product. I have many times given past keyboards a deep clean with isopropyl alcohol, brushes, and a vacuum .. now I'll need to fully disassemble and disconnect/remove the battery to safely do such a deep clean. Ultimately, I'm stuck because this is a great product line that I'm very conditioned to using. It's still cheaper and higher quality than competitors around the same pricepoint. But I'd pay twice as much for the old version if I could. Why one star? Because this new version has "premium features" that really garbage up the product and reduce usability, flexibility, and functionality for power users. It has upgrades that cost more, make for better bullet points on an Amazon product page, but really it's a less good product.

Works great!!
This keyboard is everything I hoped it would be. It connected seamlessly via bluetooth to my MacBook pro and has not needed a charge since connecting it almost 3 weeks ago. It's a nice compact size while the keys are normal in size, making it easy to use and very portable. The keyboard on my Mac is faulty and frequently unresponsive, and this keyboard is a great substitute for the Mac's keyboard. Before receiving this, I usually relied on the onscreen keyboard which requires using the cursor to select the keys - - not fun! I am very thankful that this great little keyboard works so well and is affordable!!

After a few minutes of using it, it suddenly started only typing bizarre characters like ¥+*£€>•••>~,,ığülçöhıı₺₺ Turned it on and off and nothing changed or helped. Restarted my computer and it was better again for a couple of minutes until mid sentence this issue reappeared. Tried many times and same issue. Ridiculous.

I bought this one after an unexpectedly disappointing experience with an Arteck multi-device Bluetooth keyboard. The Macally keyboard is very good indeed. Good design, good keys, got paired with all of my devices in less than 5 minutes. I don't think that you get what you pay for always: there are crappy expensive products, and there are excellent cheap ones. Personally, I learned to go on case by case basis. This keyboard is well made. In the UK at least, if you want a multi-device Bluetooth keyboard, what are the choices? Cheapie keyboards that rattle and flex as you're typing on them aren't going to be anyone's everyday keyboard. Something like Logitech M380 may well be a good keyboard, but not everyone wants round keys. I certainly didn't. There was also a gamers' keyboard that looked interesting - but then your keyboard would be lighting up orange or blue or whatever. I wasn't keen on those additional attractions, but I did want a well designed, high quality Bluetooth keyboard that allowed switching between 3 devices. That's how I bought this Macally, and I definitely recommend it. Update Feb 2021. I am still happy with the keyboard, but note that if you use your keyboard a fair bit, you'll need to change batteries pretty much every 6-7 weeks. And that's with switching the keyboard off overnight every day without fail. Considering the price of this keyboard, it should have been better thought out in terms of battery consumption, or made rechargeable through USB. Initially rated as 5 star, now 4. Update Feb 2022. All good. Still my main keyboard, doing noble service. Update Sept 2022. The keyboard abruptly stopped working, and putting in new batteries didn't help. It was dead. I contacted Macally who asked me for my Amazon invoice, which I sent them immediately. Then the rep said that, as I purchased the item through Amazon but from a seller called Dureg, and Dureg are the ones handling UK warranty issues, I should email Dureg directly - and I did. A bit later response came from Dureg, instructing me to send the keyboard to GERMANY! So the UK buyer is to track down a suitable courier and to pay out of pocket to send this faulty item to Germany, after which who knows what will happen and how soon. And if this is your main keyboard, as it is for me, and you need it for work, well, too bad. And this keyboard cost £50 in November 2020, just so you know. So there you have it, fellow UK buyers. I am changing the rating from 4 stars to 2 stars. One star would have been too harsh, as the keyboard is very good when it works. But when it stops working, that's how we, the buyers, find out that we'd been let down by the manufacturer.

Perfect solution for 2 laptops. Macbookpro 16" with German keyboard layout and a HP Elitebook with UK layout. I can switch between the 2 devices easily and typing on the US layout is great. US Layout is much better for shell scripting and programming. This was the only product that I could find that satisfies my use case and I am extremely satisfied with the quality. Works much better than a KVM switch.

La lettre "e" ne fonctionne plus correctement. De plus, le produit est maintenant 30€ plus cher qu'il y a un an quand j'ai acheté le clavier.
