True workhorse
After 7 months with this shoe, I feel obliged to leave a review. I used it for walking only, not running. It was true and trustworthy. I love the width, the comfort, the weight, and it never agitated any part of my ankle or foot. It walked through rain and sun with me. It was as reliable as it came. Overall, I wouldn't buy it again because I need something with more cushion. I found walking for long (3+ hours) periods of time / standing for a long time led to back pain. But this show is not meant to be a max cushion shoe, it's a workhouse. And what a workhorse this is! This is a great shoe, and I love the ride line.

Love these.
Long time runner no longer running but still doing a lot of miles. These are the most comfortable running shoes I've ever owned.

Saucony Ride 17
These shoes are very well fitting and comfortable. My son uses these to run in for his school track and cross country team and I ended up buying myself a pair. He runs about 40 miles a week and he's had no issues with the Ride 17 for the past year while going thru 3-4 pairs so far. The Saucony Ride is a neutral shoe and it works well for me. My personal opinion is that most people should just use a neutral shoe instead of a stability shoe. It has an 8mm heel drop, which is fine for me. Anything thicker than 8mm feels unnatural. It's as if I'm wearing platform shoes. I have an older pair of Saucony Endorphin Speed and it almost felt like I was falling forward even while standing. I know the Speeds are more of a racing shoe, but they felt odd if you were just standing. I got this model at a discount as the new Ride model has already come out. The color is great and I have gotten compliments that it's a great looking shoe. The fabric material is thin, which makes them breathable, but I can see them tearing pretty easily. So be careful I would definitely recommend this shoe if you jog for extended mileage/daily trainer or even for everyday walking.

Saucony RIDE fan!
I am a 41yo female runner who loves Saucony Ride(s)! I ordered the Men’s b/c the Women’s colors are boring. The only negative is that they REEK of MOTHBALLS, I was expecting a new shoe smell! Every day, I’m trying to find new ways to make them smell better and not like old cardboard stored in a warehouse. Other than that one negative, I can’t wait to add on the miles to my daily trainer 17s. They are just as comfortable as my 16s, but, not too plush-I don’t like running long distance on cloud to slow me down. The soles seem durable running on concrete compared to my 16s(will update if it changes-just ran once in them)?. Great for narrow, neutral feet like mine!

Strong running shoe from Saucony
Saucony have great running shoes from everyday running to racing. The Ride model I used for marathon training on easy and long runs and got almost 500 miles out of them before retiring them.

Great for outside, not for treadmills.
I bought these shoes for walking and running and they fit and feel great. I have been using them on my treadmill, though, and the tread material on the bottom of these shoes is very slippery on the treadmill surface. I would NOT recommend these shoes for treadmill walkers/runners. I've never experienced shoes this slippery on my treadmill before. I didn't knock any stars off for this, because the shoes themselves are great and I will keep using them, I just wanted to warn people who use treadmills that the treads on this model/brand are slippery. At least on my treadmill they are.

Almost 600 miles on them, held up great!
I’m reviewing from perspective of my 17-year-old son who wore these shoes, as well as various colors/designs of the Saucony Ride 17s prior to these particular ones. He gets new running shoes every 400-ish miles (for him that’s every 3-4 months). This pair retires today at 575 logged miles. (We donate to a local running shop that collects old shoes to be recycled to make new ones.) He’s a runner, getting in 50-55 miles weekly on average. This pair was his 3rd or 4th pair of Saucony Ride 17s, and he prefers these over various Nike & New Balance he’s tried over the years. He likes the stability, that they’re cushioned but not overly so, and they hold up to the mileage & Midwest year-round weather. (Rain & snow = shoes get tumble dried for next day.) Price wise I’ve paid anywhere from $99-130, depending on where & what’s available (he’s a size 13). These ones on Amazon were $105+tax. The cost of these may go down (?) now that the Ride 18 released. My son’s new pair are the 18s, purchased elsewhere. These shoes had the fun American flag print, which stayed vibrant. After almost 600 miles the bottoms had no holes or worn-thin spots. The upper fabric also had no holes. This has not always been the case with other brands, especially in the toe area.
