Original review: Luckily I already had a pen from a Glucose monitor kit at home. So I can still draw blood to use the ketone monitor. But I paid for the whole kit and got ripped off. But the monitor seems to work ok. I've been in ketosis for a few weeks now. Just a tip for anyone wanting to do therapeutic keto: test your ketones and glucose and calculate your GKI. Try to keep that GKI number below 3. I've been doing this and my serious symptoms have disappeared. A neurologist said I either have retinal migraines or a type of seizures. Expensive testing would determine which one. Well either way, therapeutic keto can be beneficial so I decided to try that first. And it is working! I'm really proud of myself and would suggest this to anyone with neurological issues. The body can heal itself when given the right tools: sunlight, movement, and nutrition.

Accuracy matters - this thing still reads .2 ( no where near ketosis ) when on carnivore diet for 2 weeks and being a vegetarian for 8 months ( no sugar) prior to going carnivore for last week ( and fasting 12hrs at night daily ) . Im sorry but when compared to someone else within the family who isnt dieting and my ketone test pulls up at .2 or .3 and the non diet person has the same reading at .2 or .3 ? Obviously something is wrong. Maybe it works better on certain blood types who knows but we want to return it at this point as it was a waste of time. In case you dont know to be in ketosis you need to have a keto number of 2.00 to 3.00 not below 1.00 like .2 or .3 notice the decimal point there in front of the digit? Anyway - look for a better meter this one is woohaan garbageeoo. I wish zero stars were available - id give it that.

Very reasonably priced and works well. Had problems with the test strips, but the seller resolved the issue. Great and prompt customer service! 🙂

Lasted less than a year before it quit working and left me with expensive and now unusable test strips. I recommend choosing a brand that is better known and has a warranty, even if the test strips cost more.

This is a good machine for the price- considering the cost of strips. The machine is easy to read and operate, make sure you have enough output from your finger for the machine to read- I started with the lancet at 0.5 and went up to 2 to obtain a sufficient sample. Best value for the machine and refill strips. Also, if already comes calibrated and controlled so do not need to run a sample test or quality control the machine as that part is already done.

Works as intended and is very accurate. Easy to use , but read the directions which are a quick read. Lots of test strips! Good value for the price and just as good as more expensive ones. Highly recommend.

I'm not sure which diet I will start in 2024 but it's that time of the year for Resolutions. At my age, I first will get my doctor's guidance. If the Keto diet is approved, I have the YiLianKang Blood Ketone Meter toolkit to get me started. My husband was a diabetic so I am already quite familiar with using diabetic supplies. Be sure the finger is warm and it's better to prick the side of the finger than using the fingertip. There are 2 helpful videos on the website. The YiLianKang Blood Ketone Meter Kit has a compact storage bag but it's too small to store the instructions. I'm disappointed that a log book wasn't included in the kit. Additional lancets and test strips are available at the YiLianKang Store. I'm happy with the YiLianKang Blood Ketone Meter Kit and impressed with the 5 seconds results.
