vader... you gotta love 'em
how do vader keep on doing it? the whole is complete genius! i can't get enough of it. i don't think i'm alone when i say this is a very strong album, evry song is perfect.it's hard to pick out my favourites, but wings is certainly on of them iwth its powerful riffs and docs insane double bass, and the final massacre with the speed a technicality in the riffs. this will mainly appeal to fans of the likes of slayer, bloodbath, testament and kreator, however if you are mainly into melocdic death metal then this may not be the stuff for you, however you may take a shine to it. in my opinion this is a good buy, trust me you won't be dissapointed!

Mindblowing!
Vader have come through with again another extremely heavy, brutal album which far surpases its expectations. Docs drumming is godlike and the production of this album does him justice. Tracks like "Wings" and "Xeper" show the bands tallent as some of the finest musicians in death metal at a speed almost second to none. Litany sows a continuation of the bands egyptian guitar riffage combined with Peter's grinding vocals. All in all Litany is a must buy for anyone who likes their music heavy, hard and fast.

A decent attempt...
I love a bit of Vader, I enjoy their shameless brutal approach to death metal. They tend not to care about trends and just blast away. Unfortunately that does not always produce the best results. It does not matter how much I listened to Litany, I just could not get into it. From a technical perspective it is absolutely fine. It has a great heavy sound and all the great traits of Vader are there. But I personally found that the music was a little too straight forward with no real hooks to pull me in. I also did not like the drum sound. They have an awfully synthetic sound, almost like it is a drum machine or an electric drum kit. I don't mind that in other forms of music but the sound just does not suit death metal. With that said, I did not hate this album and I could easily listen to it again. It just pales in comparison to other albums like Impressions In Blood.
